18-year Winter Olympics snowboard champion Chloe King: Gu Ailing is cute and talented

U.S. star Chloe King, the 2018 Pyeongchang Women's Snowboard U-Shaped Track Skills Champion, attended a press conference at the Athletes' Village on February 5 to talk about how it feels like to return to the Winter Olympics, his new skills and his thoughts on host focus player Gu Ailing.

Speaking about the return of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics to the Olympic games, Chloe King is very excited, saying: "I feel very good about returning to the Olympic games, and I feel honored to represent my country in the Beijing Winter Olympics. The four years after the PyeongChang Winter Olympics have been wonderful and I'm excited. Thank you to Beijing for hosting this event. ”

"I really love snowboarding and would love to go with the sport and push it forward. Very much looking forward to tomorrow's first training session! I feel good now. I felt a little bit of a break before, so after PyeongChang I spent two years focusing on my studies. I am still grateful for the choice I made at that time! Now, I enjoy the game here wholeheartedly. ”

About the new tricks

"I don't think I can tell you what I'm going to do, but I wish I could do the moves I wanted to do. Amplitude and variety are two areas that I'm trying to focus on and improve. I will do my best to blend in four different directions of rotation. That's what I've been promoting since the last Winter Olympics, and that's how I hope to drive snowboarding, and I want to encourage people to do all four types of spins. ”

About Gu Ailing

Speaking about China's freestyle skiing rising star Gu Ailing, Chloe said: "I love her so much! She has been providing me with a lot of help and reference in ideas and concepts. She's so cute, talented, and working so skiing, that's why she's doing so well now. I'm so proud of her that I'm looking forward to us hanging out together. ”

About the expectations of the outside world

"There's going to be extra pressure because it's an Olympic game. But the way I prepare for the Winter Olympics is to treat it as if it were a normal game. That's how I mentally hint at myself. The experience was fantastic, the athletes had bikes so we could cycle around the Olympic Village and we would also play cards and switch together. It felt like a summer camp, I enjoyed the time hanging out, it was wonderful! ”

The Women's Snowboard U-Track Skills Preliminary Round will take place on February 9 at 9:30 a.m., and the medals in this event will be decided a day later, and the race will start at the same time.
