Haas's new VF-22 for the 2022 season is released

Haas didn't know in a few weeks whether their new car was faster than their rivals, but they did it in the release season, and they were the first team to release a new car for 2022.

Haas's new VF-22 for the 2022 season is released

While team leader Gunther Steiner hinted earlier this week that Haas might unveil their livery before anyone else, they surprised many when the U.S. team announced thursday that they would be showing off their new look on Friday.

However, the team did not completely remove the veil of the new car, but only showed the "design and appearance" of the VF-22, which will be driven by Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin.

Haas was again backed by ural potash, and the car's exterior was very similar to last year's, mostly white with blue and red stripes. As for the design, the renderings released by Haas look very much like the FIA's concept car.

With its simple front and rear wings, the car features a pushrod-type front suspension, while the body around the side box is very tight, and the rear body is also compact around the gearbox, allowing more high-speed airflow to pass through.

Owner Jean Haas said: "At this time of year, you naturally get optimistic that everyone's hard work and effort translates into a competitive project. We made the decision in 2020 to put time and resources into VF22 and hopefully this decision will bear fruit, we will re-challenge the points and hope to get something out of it over the weekend. ”
