On February 5, Beijing time, the NBA officially announced that this year's All-Star Weekend will add a rookie fun shooting competition. The specific entries are as follows:
1. Thalesee Halliburton (Kings) and Desmond Bain (Grizzlies);
2. Scotty Barnes (Raptors) and Chris Duarte (Pacers);
3. Evan Mobley (Cavaliers) and Josh Gidey (Thunder);
4. Development League Ignition Team's Zeng Fanbo and Michael Foster Jr.
The fun shoots will be played before the start of the rookie finals, with five points: Magic Johnson's Sky Hook Kill Point; Charles Barkley's Arc Top Kill Point; Ray Allen's Corner Three-Point Kill Point; Miller's 8.9.8 Seconds Point; And Lillard's Ultra-Far Three-Point Strike Thunder Point.
The rules are roughly as follows: the time limit for the first team is 5 points in 1 minute and 30 seconds. The completion time of the previous team that advances is the time limit for the next team, and the team with the least time wins.
For example, if the first team completes 5 points in 1 minute 20 seconds, then the second team's time limit is 1 minute and 20 seconds. If the second team completes 5 points in 1 minute 05 seconds, then the third team's time limit is 1 minute 05 seconds. If the second team only completes 5 points in 1 minute 40 seconds, then the time limit for the third team is still 1 minute and 20 seconds for the first team.
