Born in 2002, Zhao Dan finished seventh in the women's steel frame bobsleigh at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics, and on December 3, 2021, she won the steel frame bobsleigh Intercontinental Cup in Innsbruck, Austria. In the domestic Winter Olympics steel frame bobsleigh selection competition, Zhao Dan stood out and will represent the mainland in the women's steel frame bobsleigh competition of the Winter Olympics for the first time.
