The Winter Olympics are mainly based on the concept of "Green Winter Olympics", and the Beijing Winter Olympics are also expected to become the first Olympic event to truly achieve carbon neutrality, and all 26 venues in the three major competition areas will use "green electricity", of which hydrogen energy will become the "protagonist" energy.

According to the data released by the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, the Beijing Winter Olympics will demonstrate the operation of more than 1,000 hydrogen energy vehicles, equipped with more than 30 hydrogen refueling stations, which is the world's largest fuel cell vehicle demonstration.

During the Winter Olympics, the temperature is as low as minus 30 or 40 degrees Celsius, which means that the low temperature environment has a higher demand for the start-up and endurance of new energy vehicles.

Why use hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in mountainous areas? Chai Maorong believes that the Winter Olympics are different from the Summer Olympics, and more than 70% of the events are in the mountains. Whether it is Chongli in Zhangjiakou or Haituo Mountain in Yanqing, the temperature on the mountain is below minus 20 degrees. In this low temperature environment, electric vehicles cannot work properly. The key to fuel cell applications is to be able to achieve consistent and durable 10,000 hours of trouble-free operation, so as to realize the application of passenger cars and other vehicles.

"Low temperature adaptability is an important assessment item in the Winter Olympic Test Games." Industry insiders expect that after the Winter Olympics, the national level will increase support for the application of hydrogen fuel cells.

The reporter of the Financial Associated Press combed and counted the fuel cell vehicle sales plan and target proposed by various provinces, and by 2025, the total annual sales of domestic fuel cell vehicles will exceed 100,000, and the hydrogen refueling station will exceed 1,000 seats, which means that the sales scale of the hydrogen energy vehicle market in the next 4 years will increase by more than 10 times.

Analysts at Guolian Securities believe that the core materials of hydrogen fuel cells such as gas diffusion layer, catalytic layer and proton exchange membrane are currently in the stage of sample delivery test verification in accelerated research and development. Since it is expected to take 2 to 3 years for products from sample delivery testing to mass production, it is expected that the hydrogen fuel cell industry chain will be fully localized in the next 2 to 3 years. A number of domestic hydrogen energy vehicles appeared at the Winter Olympics

It is reported that Beiqi Foton and Yutong use the "Hydrogen Teng FCS80 model fuel cell system", the product stack rated power 115KW, can achieve minus 30 °C low temperature start, to meet the northern city low temperature operation requirements. In addition, the fuel cell system has achieved material-level full autonomy.

Chai Maorong said that will invest nearly 200 hydrogen energy buses equipped with fully independent research and development of the Hydrogen Teng fuel cell system, including 150 vehicles of Yutong and 50 vehicles of Futian. It provides 60 vehicles in Yanqing and 90 vehicles in Beijing. 50 vehicles ready. ”

It is reported that the "Hydrogen Teng" FCS80 fuel cell system carried by the hydrogen energy bus, with a rated net output of 80 kilowatts, is produced in accordance with the R&D and design of the vehicle regulation level and the IATF16949 quality system, which can achieve a low temperature start of minus 30 degrees Celsius and meet the requirements of low temperature operation in northern cities. The hydrogen energy bus carries a maximum of 48 passengers, has a design speed of 100 km / h, and a pure hydrogen range of about 450 km, adapting to low temperatures, climbing and other road conditions.

At present, the hydrogen energy bus has completed the 2,000 km of real vehicle road test. From October 25, 2021, when the first batch of 30 BAIC hydrogen buses were licensed to January 20, 2022, hydrogen energy buses have participated in the testing activities in Yanqing and the staff's pre-race commuter transportation support work and other transportation services, driving nearly 110,000 kilometers in alpine and high-altitude areas, of which the longest passenger driving is nearly 400 kilometers at a single time.

The hydrogen refueling station was put into use to ensure the normal operation of hydrogen energy buses

It is reported that China Electric Power Zhongguancun Yanqingyuan CLP wisdom hydrogenation and charging station is the closed-loop transportation infrastructure of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and is currently the only hydrogen refueling station in Beijing with complete procedures for "two certificates and one photo" (hydrogen business license, gas cylinder filling certificate and business license), with a daily hydrogen refueling capacity of more than 1,000 kilograms (12 hours), which can fill up fuel for 60-80 hydrogen energy buses per day, and after filling up fuel, each bus can last for nearly 400 kilometers.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, it is expected to fill 15 domestically independently developed 35 MPa hydrogen fuel cell buses every day, with a daily injection of nearly 240 kilograms of hydrogen, and it is expected to fill 10 tons of hydrogen and 735 refueling vehicles during the entire Winter Olympic supply period, which can replace 42.5 tons of diesel, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 153.4 tons, and reduce nitrogen oxides by 2.975 tons.

At the same time, the first commercially operated fixed hydrogen refueling station in Hebei Province, the Weisan Road Hydrogen Refueling Station, has also been put into use.

In order to ensure the foolproof operation of the hydrogen refueling station during the Winter Olympic Games, Houpu co., Ltd. actively set up a hydrogen energy protection team for the Winter Olympics, and 10 Houpu technical service personnel have successively settled in Zhangjiakou and Beijing Yanqing two major competition areas.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, the hydrogen refueling station in the Winter Olympics area has ushered in a small peak of hydrogenation, of which the daily refueling capacity of the Sinopec Chongli Xiwanzi Hydrogen Refueling Station in Zhangjiakou Division has reached 1.2 tons, and it is expected that during the Winter Olympics, the refueling task of the station will reach 1.6 tons / day, which will ensure the hydrogen fuel supply of 143 buses and 80 cars. Sinopec Beijing Yanhua Xinglong Oil-Hydrogen Joint Construction Station in Yanqing is expected to have a refueling task of up to 1.08 tons per day during the Winter Olympics, which will ensure the supply of hydrogen fuel for 72 buses.
