Huang Xinhua, a candidate for the Kuomintang New Taipei City Council, released a video of a street visit around the Qizhang Station of the MRT on the 4th, asking whether the young ethnic groups in Taiwan knew the heads of Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek on the 100 yuan bill (NT$, the same below). A total of 38 young students were interviewed, 12 of whom did not know Sun Yat-sen and 26 who did not know Chiang Kai-shek, and the expectations of young people in Taiwan for red envelopes fell at 2,000 to 5,000 yuan. Huang Xinhua said that although most of the interviewees had no impression of Chiang Kai-shek, many people gave him a positive evaluation.

During the Lunar New Year, young people are looking forward to receiving red envelopes, and Huang Xinhua today released a video of a street visit around the seven MRT stations, asking the young student community whether they know the heads of Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-shek on the NT$100 and 200 yuan bills.

Huang Xinhua said that the street visit interviewed a total of 38 young students, and according to the results of the interview, 12 respondents could not recognize that it was Dr. Sun Yat-sen when they saw the head portrait on the 100-yuan bill; and 26 respondents, when they saw the head on the 200-yuan banknote, did not know that it was Chiang Kai-shek.

Most of the interviewees were not impressed with Chiang Kai-shek, but Huang Xinhua said that what is more interesting is that although the young people who know Chiang Kai-shek are in the minority, many of them give Chiang Kai-shek a positive evaluation, especially among the young people who know Chiang Kai-shek, a certain percentage of them can also say that Chiang Kai-shek once served as the principal of the Whampoa Military Academy, or knew that Chiang Kai-shek lost the Kuomintang civil war. At the same time, many students said that if they had the opportunity, they hoped to know more about Chiang Kai-shek as a figure.

In addition, Huang Xinhua also asked about the expectation value of this year's red envelopes, and the high-standard group answered about the expected amount of 10,000 yuan (or more); as for the low-standard group, it said "it is good to have it", which can be called a very "Buddhist" group. As for the total amount of red envelopes expected by the most people answering, it falls at 2,000 yuan to 5,000 yuan.

Huang Xinhua said that through this street visit, it can be seen that for the younger generation of ethnic groups, although they handle banknotes every day and have more or less red envelopes every year, they may not have the opportunity to understand more about the allusions of the characters on the banknotes, and it can also be inferred that many important figures in history are gradually being forgotten.
