On the occasion of the International Day Against Narcotics on June 26, the State Immigration Administration held a media press conference on the "Anti-Narcotics Pioneers in the Frontline of Border Immigration Management." Five representatives of the immigration management police who are fighting in the frontline of border anti-narcotics work shared their anti-narcotics experiences.

"There are a lot of female comrades who do a good job. Among the drug traffickers investigated, there are many female members, and when they trafficked drugs through the way of human possession, female police became the main force in the seizure of them. Zhang Di said.

On the border anti-drug battlefield, female police officers have unique advantages

Zhang Di, born in 2000, is currently a second-class police officer of the Xishuangbanna Border Management Detachment and Yiwu Border Checkpoint in Yunnan Province.

Adjacent to the "Golden Triangle", one of the world's major drug producing regions, the southwest border has become a front for drug traffickers to infiltrate. The Yiwu border checkpoint is located at the choke point where drugs flow into the interior, where Zhang Di and his colleagues are required to strictly check the vehicles of people entering and leaving the border area.

"In 2017, I joined the police and came to Yiwu Station to engage in drug detection. On average, more than 800 vehicles are inspected every day, and more than 2,000 pieces of personal name information are verified and compared, and efforts are made to find the characteristics of drug dealers' illegal crimes. In the past four years since joining the police, he has participated in the cracking of more than 20 cases of various drugs, seized about 80 kilograms of various drugs, and was awarded the second class merit of individuals in 2018. ”

In the process of duty, Zhang Di found that some women in drug trafficking gangs would deliberately hide drugs in close-fitting clothing, "they often use the way of human drug storage, and they will wrap drugs on their bodies." Zhang Di said. During an inspection, a colleague suspected that there was something wrong with a passenger, but he was not able to check on the other person because she was a woman. So Zhang Di and an auxiliary police officer took the passenger to the personal examination room for examination, "from her waist and the underwear compartment she was wearing, drugs were seized, probably more than 800 grams in total." This is a unique role for us women on the border drug battlefield. ”

Zhang Di said that in every border anti-drug work, the police will encounter various dangers. In 2018, in the process of investigating the vehicle, Zhang Di reached out to intercept a suspect. She recalled that as she approached the checkpoint, the suspect had become worried and his expression had suddenly become fierce. "At that time, I had just joined the police, I didn't know too much about these situations, and after I reached out to intercept them, he didn't stop, but instead accelerated towards us."

Zhang Di had never encountered such a situation, and she could not react for a while, and the comrades behind her quickly pulled her to the side to avoid being bumped into by the suspect.

The lockbox compartment contained 3.2 kilograms of drugs

In July 2018, Zhang Di found drugs for the first time. Looking back on this experience, Zhang Di felt a little humiliated.

At that time, Zhang Di had just been assigned to the checkpoint, and when he and the group leader checked a passenger, he found that there were many mud marks on his pants, shoes and lockbox, and when he was questioned, the passengers were scattered and their eyes were evasive.

Zhang Di felt that it was not right and immediately carried out a key inspection of him. When the lockbox was checked, it was found that the passenger's box did not contain much, but it was very heavy. "I used the method of investigation taught to me by the group leader, and used the detection tool to check the mezzanine of his lockbox, and some small blue fragments were clipped out of the mezzanine, which did not smell like anything. Just as I was about to release the passenger, the team leader who had been guiding the work next to me patted me lightly, indicating that I had found the drugs, and then quickly brought the suspect under control. ”

Afterwards, the group leader told Zhang Di that the blue debris were plastic bags containing drugs, and that 3.2 kilograms of drugs were seized from the middle of the lockbox in this case.

19 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized in 27 teas

This incident is a wake-up call for Zhang Di, and she realizes that she should work harder to learn the skills of drug detection, look at documents, look at expressions, touch objects, smell smells, and learn and accumulate bit by bit. Two months later, zhang Di successfully seized 19 kilograms of methamphetamine from 27 tea pieces mailed in the mail when inspecting a courier truck.

On this day, Zhang Di entered the warehouse of the logistics truck as usual. It was completely dark, and she took off her 15-pound body armor and helmet, holding a flashlight in one hand and a knife in the other. There was nothing unusual, Zhang Di sealed the courier box that had just been inspected with tape, and moved it into the warehouse.

Next to her was a batch of goods with the same outer packaging, and she looked at the list of goods, which was tea sent to Guangzhou. Unpacked, inside was a cake tea wrapped in bamboo leaves, and five boxes were opened in a row, all of which were ordinary tea leaves.

"I didn't want to tear it down at the time." After hesitating for a moment, Zhang Di decided to check the sixth cardboard box. She took out a cake of tea, pinched it and felt different from before, peeling off the bamboo leaves, Zhang Di found that it was wrapped in a black plastic bag, which contained methamphetamine. In this way, a drug trafficking activity was successfully stopped, and Zhang Di also made a second-class merit because of this matter.

From female soldiers to female police officers, Zhang Di used her achievements to convince her parents

"I became an anti-narcotics police officer after I joined the army and changed my mind. At first, I didn't think I would be in a drug enforcement position. In my impression, the troops were all engaged in various kinds of training, but later, when I was divided into units, I learned for the first time that there was an anti-drug post in the original unit. ”

A girl engaged in anti-drug work, this is not a normal choice, the family is not worried about it is impossible. "At that time, I joined the police and went to Yiwu Station to engage in drug investigation, and to be honest, neither I nor my parents were mentally prepared. Our border police openly check drugs, and although they do not need to break into criminal gangs, there are actually many dangers. ”

Zhang Di's parents were worried after learning about the job assigned by their daughter, and advised Zhang Di and the leader to fight for another post. However, Zhang Di felt that first, work should be subordinated to the distribution of the organization, and that he could not do whatever he wanted to do, and that he would not do anything if he did not want to do anything; second, he did not want to admit defeat, and that male comrades could do a good job in anti-drug work, and female comrades could do well.

In his work, Zhang Di observed that there are many female comrades-in-arms who have done a very good job, and among the drug traffickers investigated, there are many female members, and when they trafficked drugs through human possession, female police officers became the main force to seize them.

Because of this, Zhang Di believes that he will be able to make some achievements in the border anti-drug battlefield to prove himself, and also prove that post-00s women can also make a contribution on the border anti-drug battlefield. "I told my parents all these thoughts, and although they were still worried about me, they were more supportive of me. Later, as my drug detection ability continued to improve, and because of this, my parents did not persuade me to leave the anti-drug work, and when they talked about me with relatives and friends at home, they were more proud. ”
