After the game, Van Vleet was asked in an interview whether he would participate in this year's three-point contest, to which he said the matter was "in communication".

So far this season, Van Vliet has averaged 21.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game, averaging 9.9 three-pointers per game and hitting 3.9 goals, shooting 39.0 percent.
