Lampard: Focus on short-term, long-term goals at Everton Ali and Van de Beek are eager to show themselves

Live Bar February 4 News After the previous official announcement of coaching Everton, Lampard was interviewed by the club's official website. He spoke about how it felt to join Everton, the composition of the coaching staff, expectations for the two winter window signings Ali and Van der Beek, and short- and long-term goals at Everton.

Lampard's handwriting:

It was a huge honour to be invited to coach this great club and I was excited about my first game. I know the history of Everton and I understand the expectations of representing the club.

Being away to Goodison Park is one of the toughest games of the season, and to be honest as an opposing player it's very difficult, you never feel that sense of stability here, against Everton, when the game starts, the fans give more for the home team. When I was coaching, I also played a game here, and the atmosphere was so special that day.

I have always listened to the club owners and the president and think that they are very concerned about the club. They have the drive, passion and determination to bring success to Everton. When I first met them, they were like that. How awesome it is when you feel the support and solidarity behind you, and it's critical to our long-term vision for Everton.

Everyone at the club is working in the same direction and I will always be communicating with you and showing you how we are working towards our goals.

I have a great coaching team and Joe Edwards was my assistant coach at Chelsea and I know he's a great coach with a lot of abilities to help us get to where we want to be. When I was a player, I worked with Chris Jones, who was my coach at Derby County and Chelsea and was another guy in our squad I could rely on. Paul Clement is experienced, he knows football and the players and is a winner.

Ashley Cole doesn't need any introductions, he's one of the best players I've played with and will be a coach in the future. Cole is a smart, imaginative and passionate guy who really wants to join Everton.

I would also like to mention Duncan Ferguson, he is a legend at this club, everyone at Everton respects him and I know very well why our fans respect him so much. Alain Kelly is also respected, he has built a strong relationship with our goalkeeper and he has always been meticulous and professional.

Ali and Van der Beek are the two players we prioritize before the winter window closes, and the club owner, chairman and board work very hard to get these transfers to be finalized before the window closes. When you get support from the top of the club, you're more eager to reward these people with results and performance.

I'm excited to work with Ali, he has all the qualities to be one of the best players in the Premier League, a level he reached a few years ago and I can see that he's eager to get back to that level. We need to be patient with Alli, who came to a new club and hasn't had many chances to play lately. But we know ali can score, can create goals, he's aggressive, he's passionate, ready to fight. Alli has all the conditions to be a qualified Everton player.

Van der Beek is another player who needs a platform to show what he can and we want to score more goals in midfield and he can help us. He's a great passer and, most importantly, through conversations with Van de Beek, I see the drive and desire he has to play for Everton.

We can't ignore the short-term goals, the current goal is to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup, and the next task is to climb the Premier League table as soon as possible.

I can't wait to get started. Enjoy the game now!

Frank Lampard
