Hello everyone, I take the time out of my busy schedule today to bring you the following article, welcome to taste it together!
The conception of life is a very sacred thing, but at the same time there are unpredictable risks that can pose a threat to both pregnant women and fetuses, especially in the age of underdeveloped technology. Conjoined babies used to be a very insoluble phenomenon, with a chance of happening about 1 in 200,000.

The earliest record of conjoined infants in the world can be traced back to Armenia in 945, while in China it is recorded by Gan Bao's "Search for God", which appeared in June of the first year of the first year of the Western Han Dynasty. In the past, when medical technology was not developed, conjoined babies were extremely difficult to survive, and basically died at a very young age, but in the 19th century, a pair of "Siamese twins" appeared, they stubbornly lived to the age of 63, and since then the world has begun to pay attention to the special disease of siamese babies.
The twins were born on May 11, 1811 in Siam, now Thailand, and one of them was named En and the other was called Chang. The Enchang brothers' father is Chinese, and their mother is of mixed Chinese and Thai descent, both of whom are healthy, but the two brothers born are connected to each other's chests, and the two livers are also connected.
In fact, their conjoined bodies are not particularly difficult to heal, and with modern medical methods, if the brothers were born in the 21st century, the probability of successful separation is very high. But the technology at that time could not safely separate them, and there was very little medical research on conjoined babies at that time, so the Enchang brothers could only maintain a connected posture and grow up slowly.
At that time, Thailand also had prejudice and contempt for conjoined babies, and even believed that they were ominous incarnations and would bring disaster. Fortunately, the parents of the brothers did not give up on them, and even if they were discriminated against, their parents decided to seriously raise Eun And Chang as adults.
In 1829, the British businessman Robert Hunt found two brothers who had just come of age by chance, when circus body performances were very popular in Europe, and the actors were deformed children with special diseases, such as dwarfism gigantism, etc. Robert immediately found a business opportunity and invited the brothers to enter the circus to participate in the performance.
In 1839, the Enchang brothers and Robert terminated their contract, and then joined the "Lingling Circus", one of the three major circuses in the world at that time, becoming the most popular actor among them. After having a relationship with the circus, Eun Ho Chang decided not to return to Thailand, and with the help of their partners, they became American citizens and became official U.S. citizens.
Due to the explosion of the Enchang brothers in the circus, they accumulated a lot of assets, bought a house, and lived a comfortable life. In 1843, the two married a pair of British twin sisters, En had 10 children and 12 Chang, and the family lived in harmony. The only thing that embarrassed the brothers was that their wives would occasionally quarrel, and whenever the sisters separated because of the quarrel, Chang and Eun had to go to her sister's house for three days and then go to her sister's house for three days.
Happily, the 22 descendants of both of them were healthy, and two of their sons joined the army on the front lines. Eun and Chang stubbornly survived until his death in 1874. It is worth mentioning that Chang was originally very healthy, but Eun suffered from lung disease and died. The connected bodies connected their lives, and soon after Eun Seol's death, Chang followed, both of whom died at the age of 63, and their livers are still preserved in the Matt Museum in Philadelphia.
