Chelsea sporting director Marina approved a number of costly departures this summer, allowing the club to allow Romelu Lukaku to join with a huge £97.5 million transfer. Chelsea's academy-trained Tammy Tammy, Tomori and Mark Gei are worth £75 million, while Maya and Zapa Costa have been taken away at a fraction of the cost.
Tuchel's fringe players will be massively lost, and Marina may be busy for the next few months. Chelsea still have a lot of players Tuchel rarely uses, many of whom will be sold to help the German coach form his dream team.
Connor Gallagher
The Chelsea academy graduate, who was loaned to Crystal Palace, is one of the best players to perform in the Premier League this season.
Eagles new boss Patrick Vieira put Gallagher in the No. 8 position, which is a completely different one from his time at West Brom last season. The 21-year-old is full of energy and his performances are sure to catch Tuchel's attention and may even feel like Gallagher could fit seamlessly into one of the two midfield positions in his 3-4-3 formation.
The 1.82m midfielder plays his best role, he is perfect for putting pressure on opponents, a necessity for Crystal Palace and Chelsea, and this season he has scored 2 goals in 6 Premier League games and contributed 1 assist, and averaged 2 steals per game.
In August, he twice played well against West Ham at Crystal Palace and as a versatile midfielder, Chelsea will undoubtedly be impressed by his performance in the top flight.
However, whether he will get a chance at Stamford Bridge next season is not certain, but it is certain that the club will receive a high return from him.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Cheek is 25 years old, he is no longer a young player who can wait for an opportunity, he needs to play football. Also from Chelsea, Cheek started his professional football on loan, having been loaned to Crystal Palace for the 2017/18 season. Led by Maurizio Sarri, he managed to capture Chelsea's attention and even scored a hat-trick in the 2018 Europa League match against Bets.
However, an Achilles tendon injury left the energetic midfielder sidelined for most of the year. Cheek has made five appearances this season and Tuchel is getting the player back in form, but his future at Chelsea depends on whether he can stay fit.
Armando Broa
Broia, who is still from Chelsea's youth training, is 20 years old this year. Last season, West, who was loaned to the Eredivisie, scored 10 goals in 30 appearances in the Eredivisie. That form has earned him the favor of Southampton, with the Saints signing him on loan this season.
Chelsea often send their young players to other clubs for training, including stars like Mount, Tomori and Tammy Abraham, who also have to prove themselves in the Premier League and below.
The same is true of Broia, the 20-year-old, who has scored two goals for the Saints in six appearances this season, and although all are Club Cup goals, it is a good start. Sadly, the young center's rival at Stamford Bridge is Lukaku, and maybe he can learn from the Little Warcraft. But the struggle in Southampton may allow him to travel elsewhere to realize his ideals, and there is no shortage of suitors for young people with potential.
Ross Buckley
Finally not a Chelsea academy player, Barkley, who was born in Everton, is often forgotten. During Hodgson's tenure at the national team, the England midfielder was hailed as one of the most promising players. But Barkley's career at Chelsea hasn't gone well, with injuries frustrating his time at Stamford Bridge and now he finds himself surrounded by a pack of talented players.
Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic and even new loaner Saul are fully occupied by the likes of the midfield. In front of them are Mount, Havertz, Priscic and Ziyech.
Villa had both highs and lows on loan last season, and like Cheek, Barkley is staying healthy. He has made three appearances in all competitions this season and has played just 36 minutes.
With a combined value of €56 million for the four players, Marina needs to make a transfer decision.
