Labrador, also known as retriever, is a medium to large dog, which is a breed of dog that is very suitable for being selected as a guide dog that often enters and exits public places, or a subway police dog, search and rescue dog and other working dogs, and is named after the newfoundland and Labrador province of Canada. It is ranked alongside the Three Non-Aggressive Dogs alongside the Siberian Sled Dog and the Golden Retriever. Labrador has the sixth highest IQ of the world's dogs. Loyal, atmospheric, generous, gentle, sunny, cheerful, lively, extremely intelligent, but also very friendly to people, Labrador Hounds have four colors, namely: black, yellow, chocolate, off-white. The most common are black, yellow. Labrador is the most registered breed in the American Kennel Club, especially child-friendly and slightly clingy to dog owners.
The Labrador Retriever does not come from the Labrador region, as its name suggests, but from Newfoundland.
In Newfoundland, labradors disappeared because of heavy dog taxes. Under the UK's restrictive laws, this heavy dog tax effectively stopped importing dogs into the UK. Since then, many Labradors and other breeds of hounds have mated and bred with each other, but fortunately the unique characteristics of labradors have prevailed. Finally, breeders want to stop this mutual mating breeding and develop a standard to prevent the dog from interbreeding with other hounds.
The Labrador Retriever as a separate dog breed was first recognized by the British Kennel Club in 1903. In the UK, no Labrador dog can be the winner of the show because it is not eligible unless it has a work licence that clearly proves that it is also eligible in this field. In the United States, labradors have become the main trained dogs and retrievers. In 1931, hunters and breeders formed the Labrador Hound Club, while showing off their bred dogs in a demonstration competition with clear success
The fur of Labradors is double-layered and magical, a layer of soft fluff that allows them to maintain temperature in cold water, a thick outer layer of fur that is waterproof. The coat of the Labrador should be short and dense. No curly hair. The coat color is mostly black, yellow and chocolate. The whole body is black, some Labradors have a small patch of white hair on the chest, and the yellow coat ranges from reddish brown to light cream, mixed in the inner layer of the ear and lower hair or tail; some Labrador is mixed with light chocolate and dark chocolate.
The Labrador is also a very good guide dog, and the Labrador is very trainable and obedient because it is usually gluttonous. If it is not trained, it will be so difficult to tame that it will not listen to its master and destroy household items. The chest is thick and good in width and depth. The front feet are straight from the shoulders down to the ground, and the toes are densely arched. The posterior ankle is moderately curved, and the limbs are moderately lengthy, which is balanced with all parts of the body.
