At 76 minutes, the score became 2-0. After a steal from the front, Mane burst into the penalty area along the left bottom line. After attracting the goalkeeper to strike, Mane crossed unselfishly and Paris midfielder Guye wrapped the ball into the empty goal.

In the 82nd minute, Burkina Faso pulled a goal back. Cabore crossed from the right and Ibrahim Toure snatched a shot from the centre and broke the bar.

In the 87th minute, Senegal sealed the win 3-1. Bayern right-back Sal sent a long pass and Mane single-handedly headed into the box. Facing the goalkeeper, the Liverpool striker easily picked up the shot and broke the goal. It was Mane's 29th goal for Senegal, and he became the team's all-time top scorer.
