According to the official website of the European Ocean Network on June 1, the high-level launch conference of the United Nations Ocean Decade held in Berlin, Germany, officially released the "Ocean Decade - Arctic Action Plan". Developed by an international working group led by the Danish Centre for the Study of the Ocean, the programme is the first regional action plan under the United Nations Decade of Marine Science for Sustainable Development and aims to provide an important impetus for sustainable development related to the oceans. The Action Plan identifies the challenges facing the Arctic region and the many issues that will be encountered in the arctic negotiations to achieve the goals of the Ocean Decade, identifies actions and priorities for the Arctic region in the coming Ocean Decade, and proposes transformative marine science solutions.
