A Korean film known for its crime theme, the "Killer's Memory Law" introduced this time is adapted from Kim Young-ha's novel of the same name, directed by Won Shin-won, Xue Jingqiu challenges serial murderers after the gang boss "No Sweat Party", and has the girl group AOA Kim Seol-hyun and Kim Nam-woo join, just Kas is worth my expectations, not to mention the similar "Memory Fragments", which makes people confused and false, and is led by the nose.
The plot tells the story of a former serial killer, Kim Byung-so (Seo Kyung-joo), who suffered from brain damage 17 years ago and suffered from Alzheimer's disease, and his memory is gradually disappearing, and he lives an ordinary life with his daughter Eun Hee after "retirement".
However, in a car accident, Kim Byung-so discovers that the other party may be a serial murderer who recently killed several women in a nearby town, and after the lack of evidence was denied by the police, Kim Byung-so decided to believe his vague memory and track down the murderer who may threaten his daughter's life.
The plot of "The Killer's Memory Law" almost entirely revolves around the male protagonist Kim Byung-so played by Xue Jingqiu, and the director let the audience know from the beginning that he is a father who is not good at expressing inner emotions and deeply loves his daughter.
Follow Kim Byung-so's diary back to his reasons and motivations for becoming a serial murderer, interspersed back and forth between the present and the past.
From a killer who can decide the life and death of others with his hands, to an old man who can't stop the deterioration of Alzheimer's disease no matter how hard he tries now, as long as his cheeks twitch at the beginning, what he will do next and where he will go is unknown, which not only deepens the difficulty of solving the case, but also makes the audience outside the play more nervous, but his confused memories are not only because of Alzheimer's disease, but also more or less related to Kim Byung-so's experience when he was young.
Kim Byung-so has a broken family, and his father punches and kicks his family after drinking, and when he is forced to kill him, kim bye-so learns that there are always people in the world who are not worthy of living.
The owner of the fish shop who commits domestic violence and the woman who kills the cat for the ring, "eliminating harm for the people" becomes the reason for Kim Byung-so to kill, which is also where the protagonist emphasizes that he is different from the murderer Min Tae-joo, but even if it is such a "legitimate" reason, it still cannot eliminate the sin in Kim Byung-so's heart.
Growing up in the same family, the younger brother went on the path of murderer for killing his father, and the older sister went to the monastery to pray to clear his brother's name.
However, in the end, the audience knows that the monastery is Kim Byung-so's fantasy, the sister has already committed suicide because she can't withstand the pressure of her brother to kill her father, and after eliminating the evil ones, she still can't save the good, which I think makes Kim Byung-so wonder if what he is doing is right, and the transformation of his sister into a nun also proves that he desperately wants to get rid of the torture in his heart.
Back in the movie, after Kim Byung-so bumps into Min Tae-joo and sees the blood in the back compartment, he is almost certain that Min Tae-joo is the murderer, but this is the cleverness of "The Killer's Memory Law", in the case of Kim Byung-so's gradual amnesia, the plot is interspersed with editing between the past, reality and illusion.
Studying blood samples like a scientist, becoming an old man stealing popcorn from others in the theater, or mistaking his daughter Eun Hee for his wife who has died, all of which make the audience feel confused, is what we see now really happening, or is it just a delusion in Kim Byung-so's brain.
Memory is the main axis emphasized in "The Killer's Memory Law", Kim Byung-so is so desperate to control his illness, and the ultimate goal of killing Min Tae-joo in the movie, in fact, it is all for his daughter Eun-hee.
And memory is also the last connection between people, the only reliance on Kim Byung-so when the father and daughter are separated; without memory, even if the two meet, Eun-hee is just a stranger to Kim Byung-so, destined to pass by.
But interestingly, just when the audience thinks that everything is settled and ready to leave, the director gives a rifle again, creating a lot of discussion space, I think it can be divided into two factions, Min Tae-joo is dead and Min Tae-joo is not dead (nonsense).
1. Min Tae-joo is dead
Explain everything as played before, but although killing Min Tae saves Eun Hee, he still needs to find an object in his heart to fill his desire to kill and give him the motivation to live.
2. Min Tae-joo is not dead
Kim Byung-so is identified by the police as the murderer who killed the women and the director, and before finally picking up the syringe to commit suicide, he remembers the fact that Min Tae-joo is not dead, and decides to leave the hospital to avenge and save his daughter.

All in all, "The Killer's Memory Law" is a wonderful crime suspense film, relying on his acting skills to support the entire film, Xue Jingqiu, the director through the Alzheimer's theme, in the process of Kim Byung-so's pursuit of prisoners again and again misled the audience.
Not only that, but there are also dialectics of the legitimacy of the crime, touching father-daughter love, and even action scenes with various fighting skills, with some contrasting laughs, although the rhythm in the second half is a bit chaotic, but it still does not affect the "Killer's Memory Law" to give me this somewhat entertaining and brain-burning movie experience.
