According to statistics, after this game, Towns became the third player in Timberwolves history to cut a 30-point triple-double in a single game.

The other two timberwolves in history who made this mark were Love (37 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists against the Jazz on February 23, 2014) and Garnett (35 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists against the Lone Rangers on December 19, 2003, and 33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists against the Celtics on March 5, 2007).
