In the cultural map of Jilin Province, she is not only a beautiful cultural business card and city imprint of Changchun, but also a red landmark and legend of light and shadow in Jilin Province and even China.
The history of entrepreneurship, struggle and development of Changying is a microcosm of the history of the Communist Party of China, the history of New China, the history of reform and opening up, and the history of socialist development, and is an important chapter in the history of Chinese cinema. She witnessed and recorded China's history and reality, development and progress, suffering and glory, and witnessed the journey of new Chinese films from scratch, from small to large, from weak to strong.
Since its establishment 76 years ago, it has created and shot more than 1,000 films, translated and produced more than 2,000 foreign films, and trained more than 2,000 outstanding film talents for the new Chinese film industry.
Time passes, memories never go away; classics are eternal, and spiritual fires are in the same vein. As the cradle of the new Chinese film industry and the banner of red films, several generations of long-term filmmakers have always run on the relay track of the times, sowing red seeds in the fires of war and helping the revolution to win; in the different periods of the founding of New China and reform and development, the original intention has not changed, and the red gene casts the soul of each work, influencing and inspiring generations of Chinese. Today, a new generation of long-shadow people who have taken over the baton are walking with the times in an accelerated manner, and in the process of reliving history, basing themselves on the present, and drawing the future, they have stimulated new momentum, and contributed to the wisdom and strength of Jilin in highlighting cultural self-confidence.
Talent Development: The "Incubator" of New Chinese Cinema
As the first film studio in New China, the Predecessor of Changchun Film Studio, Northeast Film Company, was born in the midst of war. On October 1, 1945, the Northeast Film Company was established. On October 1, 1946, it was renamed Northeast Film Studio, referred to as "East Film". Since then, the party's film industry has withstood the tempering of war and thrived on the vast land of China, and has played an irreplaceable role in publicizing the party's mass line and policy propositions and winning the support of the masses.
In February 1955, according to the decision of the Ministry of Culture of the CPC Central Committee, the Northeast Film Studio was renamed Changchun Film Studio.
Looking back at the development history of Long Film and Chinese films, Long Shadow is not only the cradle of new Chinese films, but also the "incubator" of Chinese film institutions and the "distribution center" of film talents.
From October 1945 to the first half of 1946, Yuan Muzhi, Tian Fang and others joined in with the establishment of Changying.
In August 1946, the Yan'an Film Troupe headed by Wu Yinxian arrived in the northeast and enriched the strength of more than 40 people for Changying, including Xu Xiaobing, Wu Benli and others.
In May 1948, the Northwest Film Engineering Team, led by Zhong Jingzhi, lasted 8 months and rushed from Xing County in the northwest of Jin to the northeast, with a total of 21 people, including Cheng Yin, Wang Yan, Su Yun and others.
In September 1948 and January 1949, a group of northeast literary workers joined Changying in two batches, totaling more than 140 people. Most of its members are writers, musicians, dramatists, painters and poets from Yan'an Luyi, including Shu Qun, Sha Meng, Yan Yiyan, Wang Jiayi, Lin Bai, Li Mu, Yu Lan, Liu Chi, Liang Yin and so on.
In February 1949, more than 70 people from the Northeast Military and Political University Cultural and Labor Corps, with Wu Yin as the regimental commander, Li Meng as the political instructor, Suri as the deputy regimental commander, and Wu Zhaodi as the deputy political instructor, joined Changying. In September 1949, the Northeast Youth Cultural and Labor Troupe led by Ding Ju joined Changying, including Ge Cunzhuang, Qi Xingjia and other literary and artistic backbones.
From December 1948 onwards, in addition to "film creation", Changying was "support": at the end of 1948, Tian Fang and others went to receive Beiping Film Institutions, equipment, and personnel, and established the Beiping Film Studio, with Tian Fang as the director. Shortly thereafter, the news documentary photography team joined the Beiping Film Studio, and Qian Xiaozhang led the Long Film News Film Group into Beiying, and later established the Central News Documentary Film Studio. In March 1949, Zhong Jingzhi and others went to Shanghai to receive film institutions, equipment and personnel, and established the Shanghai Film Studio, with Zhong Jingzhi as the deputy director. Subsequently, the Changying Fine Arts Film Group joined Shanghai Film and established the Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio in 1957.
In July 1958, according to the requirements of the relevant state departments, 70 artistic and technical talents of Changying participated in the establishment of Xi'an Film Studio in northwest China. In the same month, another five teams set off at the same time to support the construction of Guangxi Film Studio, Shanxi Film Studio, Inner Mongolia Film Studio, Liaoning Film Studio and Heilongjiang Film Studio. From January to November 1975, more than 50 people set off from Changying to Sichuan to support the construction of the Emei Film Studio. From the late 1970s to the mid-1980s, about 20 more people supported the construction of the Pearl River Film Studio.
According to statistics in the 1980s, since its establishment, Changying has supported more than 2,000 artistic and technical talents across the country.
Su Qun, who had been the director of the East Film Factory, was transferred to The Vice President of Northeastern University; Yuan Muzhi, who succeeded the director of the East Film Factory, was transferred to Beijing to form the Film Bureau and served as the first director; and Chen Bo'er, the general secretary of the party branch of the East Film Factory, was also transferred to Beijing as the deputy director of the Art Committee of the Film Bureau, and Tian Fang was transferred to the director of the North Film Factory. Since then, directors Cheng Yin and Ling Zifeng have been transferred from East Film to North Film, actors Chen Qiang, Yu Lan, Yu Yang, Ge Cunzhuang, etc.; and those who have been transferred to the Shanghai film system include art leader Zhong Jingzhi and professional Te Wei. After the founding of New China, Changying has successively supported a number of professional talents from various film factories in China, such as Yuan Xiaoping, deputy director of Changying, Xu Liankai, director of the troupe, Guo Wei, director, and actors Li Yalin, Jin Di, He Xiaoshu, Cong Lianwen, Lu Xiaoya and more than 100 other professionals who were transferred to Eying.
In addition, Long Shadow has nurtured generations of outstanding actors. Many well-known actors, many of whom started from long films, played major roles, and filmed famous masterpieces that are well known to the audience.
