The Greek film "Little England" has won many awards internationally and is known as the Greek Oscar. The film tells the story of the love triangle caused by the two sisters falling in love with the same man. I watched it three times, and the story itself didn't get up and down, and there were two things that struck me:
First, the visual impact is large, the sense of picture is strong, weddings and funerals, parting and reunion, love and hate, forming a strong contrast. There is also a poignant and beautiful picture, full of exotic style, coupled with the actor's tense performance, the whole story is promoted with tension and relaxation, and it seems to be endlessly evocative.
Second, what prompted me to write again is precisely because the story is ordinary but can be thought-provoking, isn't this the case in most people's lives? Plain and simple for a lifetime, maybe until death are not alarmed. But life is art, art comes from life, and it is also a movie worth watching to reveal the truth of real life from behind ordinary film and television stories.
Although the regional environment is different in times, people's emotions are common. What I feel most deeply in the play is that although the mother and daughter have different attitudes towards marriage, they can still reveal the same truth across the limitations of time and space.
<h1>1. Mother Mina: A strong, bitter woman who buries her love in her heart</h1>
The film begins with how Mina is meticulous in life, shrewd in financial management, harsh on the sisters, domineering but fair. In the letter to her husband, she was also strong and arrogant: Savas, you want to die in the Pacific Ocean, and I have not wasted time, the two-story building is ready, their dowry is ready, and I should marry them out.
Women without husbands are not gentle, and living well is king. Therefore, she worships gold everywhere, seeking a sense of security, and her mission is to find a golden turtle for her daughters.
When she forcibly broke up the first love of her second daughter, Mosgar, she said this: I have also been hurt by love, so I know that love will not last, but the pain it brings will always be there. It can be seen that she also understands love, and has also loved deeply, and for many years she did not know whether her husband was dead or alive, and only buried love.
On the day she knew that her husband had returned, she also dressed up and carefully put on lipstick, and the moment the husband and wife met, they hugged tightly and burst into tears.
Mina is an unpleasant mother, and although her tyranny has caused tragedy, she cannot question her love for her children, and her heart is still full of love.
<h1>2. Sister Ossa: A stoic, infatuated woman at the mercy of fate</h1>
Ossa has been a well-behaved girl since she was a child, with a quiet and calm personality, and from childhood to adulthood, she has obeyed her mother's arrangements, and even her father has mentioned the most letters from her father.
When she overheard that her mother had rejected her lover Spiros's uncle, she hid behind the curtain and secretly cried, and the only time she argued with reason, she was intimidated by her mother and obediently married Moscow.
Marry a man she does not love, she endures; after marriage, the mother gives her beloved marriage to her sister, she endures; the sisters live in a building, witnessing the sweetness of their sister and Spyros, she endures; the night is not soundproof floor slabs come from their husband and wife's entanglement, she endures.
At the beginning of the film, the rusty spoon that Spyros picked up at the seaside was given to Osha, but she regarded it as a treasure to carry, even if she married Moscow, the spoon was still carefully treasured, and in the last days of her life, the spoon was still held in her hand.
How much patience there is, how complete the emotional outburst is. When he learned that Spyros was killed, he was devastated like crazy, and he became thinner and thinner, but he refused treatment and was bent on death.
She is the core of the whole tragedy, and her tragedy is also the tragedy of the mother-daughter trio, who at first sympathize with her, and as the plot develops, they disdain her behavior, and when her life is withering, she can understand her misery.
<h1>3. Sister Mosca: a strong woman who is free and dares to love and hate</h1>
Look again, more and more like Mosca. She is simple, happy, passionate, dare to love and dare to hate. After meeting and falling in love with the English boy David at a ball, her mother ruthlessly broke them up through official means, and she rebelled hysterically.

When she learned that her sister was in love with Spyros, she went crazy and tore into a mess with her sister, and the sisters did not speak for three years, and when she learned that all this tragedy was caused by her mother's own hands, she roared in pain in front of her mother.
Finally seeing the letter that Spyros wrote to her sister, knowing that they had a private meeting after marriage, she was miserable, and finally bravely faced the facts and reconciled with her sister Ossa.
In fact, the most hurt in this relationship is her, she also loves Spyros deeply, and in the end it is not only the death of her husband, but also the betrayal, the betrayal of her sister and her beloved, and the driving force of all this is her own mother, I think the blow and pain is no less than anyone. In the end, she chose to reconcile, forgive her sister, and forgive her mother.
