On the afternoon of January 30, from the Fengyun No. 4 high-definition visible light satellite cloud map, today, although the cold cloud range in the central and eastern parts of the mainland is still relatively broad, in fact, most of the rain is relatively shallow, and the large-scale rainy and snowy weather in the southern region today has indeed begun to weaken.
But on satellite maps, it can also be noted that the weather in parts of the north has begun to change today compared to before – on satellite clouds, a small cluster of clouds is appearing in southern Mongolia and central Inner Mongolia on the mainland.
Judging from the satellite cloud map animation, this cluster of clouds is still obviously rotating today, which is actually a cold vortex at a high altitude that has begun to move south, and is enticing a cyclone system near the ground.
Corresponding to the emergence of the prototype of the near-ground cyclone system, the wind potential in many parts of Inner Mongolia has also begun to increase. Monitoring data from the Central Meteorological Observatory shows that at 15:00 on January 30, there were widespread gales of magnitude 6-7 in many parts of central and western Inner Mongolia, and in some areas it reached magnitude 8.
The supercomputer's predictions believe that as this westerly wind belt cold vortex further penetrates deeper into the northern part of the mainland, its induced near-ground cyclone system will also further develop and grow, and under the action of this cyclone system, around January 31, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Shandong, and Liaoning regions around the Bohai Sea on the mainland may have strong winds, but the greater impact of this cyclone may be snow.
Judging from the forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, from January 30 to January 31, while the scope of rain and snow in the southern part of the mainland is reduced, there will be significant snowfall in the central and eastern parts of Inner Mongolia, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Liaoning in the north, especially in eastern Hebei and parts of western Liaoning.
According to the current forecast of the Central Meteorological Observatory, from January 31 to March 1, the snow in Liaoning, Hebei and other places will be further increased, and the amount of snowfall in some areas in 24 hours can reach the level of blizzard (the maximum maximum estimated amount of snowfall is predicted to be 12 mm).
For example, in Huludao, Liaoning Province, official forecasts have pointed out the snowfall brought about by this "snow cyclone" from January 30 to January 31, and the snowfall on January 31 can reach the level of heavy snow. Although there are not many places where snow falls in the north, and more places are still sunny and stable weather, at present, there are still many cities that may usher in the "White Spring Festival".
Of course, during the New Year, a wider range of rain and snow weather will also come to the south, from the existing forecast, from January 31 to February 3, a large range of rain and snow weather will be launched again in the southern part of the mainland, bringing a rather wet and cold Spring Festival.
