According to the "World Sports Newspaper", all indications are that Barca will officially announce the joining of Adama Traore today. On Thursday, Barca and Wolves reached an agreement on Traore's signing on loan. On Friday, the 26-year-old winger passed a Barca medical examination, but the Red and Blues did not reveal too many details.
With Dembele's contract extension blocked, Barca saw Traore as a stand-in for the Frenchman. Barca have already informed Dembele that if the Frenchman does not renew his contract with the club, he will not be able to play for the rest of the season, even if he fails to find a home for him.
In 2015, Traore joined Villa for €10 million plus a floating fee of €2 million, and after six and a half seasons, he looks set to be part of Xavi's team. This season, Traore has not been used much with Wolves, having only started 10 Premier League games.
With Traore and Barca's loan contract due to expire at the end of the season, Barca may need to pay around €30 million if they want to buy it out.
