According to foreign media vrfocus, British animation company Aardman will launch a free AR content experience based on the classic animation "Super Invincible Dog: The Big Fix Up" this fall, and land on iOS and Android platforms.
It is reported that "Super Invincible Dog: The Big Fix Up" has built-in various character CG animations, multiplayer AR mini-games, the comic portal station of the same name and other colorful content, through the three-dimensional map platform Fantas, users can walk immersively in the heart of Bristol.
Merlin Crossingham, Creative Director of Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Big Fix Up, said: "Aardman is a diverse creative studio that has been in the industry for many years, with a unique perspective on both traditional animation production and the adoption of emerging technologies. We are delighted to partner with companies like Fictioneers to bring the classic anime Super Smash Bros. D'État to life in innovative ways."
This isn't Aardman's first foray into immersive technology, which has previously worked with Google Spotlight Stories to produce an interactive short film called Special Delivery.
