Picking the reeds of the Putai

Sun Li

When I arrived at Baiyangdian, my first impression was that water feeds the reeds, and people live on them. There are reeds everywhere, and people and reeds are so tightly combined. Man is like a bird parasitic in a reed, constantly going through the reed all day long.

I came to know that reeds also have their own uses because of their soft, hard, and fragile nature. Among them, the large white skin and the big head are planted because of their white color and tall, and are mostly used to weave small lace mats; because the grass is bone, it is mostly used to lay houses and fill the house with alkali; white hairs only have a beautiful appearance, but they can only be used as firewood, and false skin weaving baskets are used to catch fish.

I came early, and the Ling in Yodo had not yet completely melted. The roots of the reeds are still buried in the cold mud, and the sea formed by the reeds is not visible. I walked along the edge of Yodo, imagining that if it were May, it would be the world of reeds.

In the village were stacks of beaten reeds, which supplely stirred in the hands of the women. The distant sound of gunfire continued to come, and the wounds of the people were not completely healed. About the reed pond, it is not just a landscape, it is full of the smell of gunpowder, and the memory of the blood of countless heroes. If it is simply a reed, if it is simply good-looking, it will not become a famous attraction in Jizhong.

There are many heroic deeds here, and it is impossible to describe them all. Every reed pond has a hero's legend. Enemy fire has destroyed them, they have been burned countless times, and the blood of the people has kept their innocence.

The best reeds come out in The Pak Tai. Once, at Caiputai, more than a dozen cadres and all the men and women of the whole village were surrounded by the enemy. It was winter and people were surrounded by ice, facing the big reed pond waiting to be harvested.

The enemy wants to search. Some of the cadres carried guns, believing that it was time for the final battle to bleed. The women secretly handed the child in their arms and told them to stick the gun in the crotch of the child's pants. During the search, the cadre handed the child to the woman... Twelve women did the same. Hatred is one, love is one, wisdom is one.

Gun cover passed, passing through a level. At this time, a man in his forties, returning from reeding in a reed pond, was caught by the enemy. The enemy asked him, "Are you the Eighth Way?" "Nope!" "Do you have cadres in your village?" "Nothing!" The enemy cut off half of his neck and asked, "Your eight ways?" He tilted his head, blood flowing down his chest, and said, "No! "The eight roads in your village are big!" "Nothing!"

The women couldn't help it, and they all shouted in unison, "No! No! ”

He was killed by the enemy and he fell on the ice. The blood is frozen, the blood is firm, and the death is strong.

"Nothing! No! ”

This voice will always ring near the reed pond, forever next to the ears of the people of Baiyangdian, and should even be passed on from generation to generation to generation to our children and grandchildren. Remember these two short and powerful words forever!
