Editor's note: AIDS is the misfortune of all mankind, and the prevention of AIDS is also the responsibility of all mankind, let us speak out for "Ai": more care, less prejudice, more self-protection, less misfortune.
Under the dazzling ball of sunlight, there is an inconspicuous dark area, astronomically known as sunspots. If the university campus is a bright sunrise, Li Jie feels that she is the sunspot.
At the beginning of the year, the "+" sign on a test sheet prompted Li Jie to know that she was infected with AIDS.

Li Jie, who was just a sophomore, never thought that one day she would be related to the three words "AIDS".
A year ago, in September, Li Jie stepped into the university campus of her dreams with expectations and dreams, and unexpectedly, a seemingly sweet first love actually made her life change dramatically.
1. Thunderbolt on a sunny day: Once it will be, it will become the beginning of a nightmare
Entering the university campus from a high school in a small city, Li Jie found that foreign students could be seen everywhere in the school, which made her feel very new and felt that her university was very "international".
One day, when she was bored, Li Jie opened her mobile phone in the dormitory, found that someone in the "nearby" asked to add her as a WeChat friend, she clicked on the other party's avatar and found that it was a foreign student.
"At that time, I thought that I could take this opportunity to practice speaking, so I added him." Li Jie accepted the other party's request and began to chat with the foreign students on the other end of the mobile phone.
After a chat, the more speculative it became, this foreign boy named Toussaint was outgoing and open, always taking the initiative to share his life with Li Jie, and the distance between race and culture gradually narrowed between them.
In the spare time, Li Jie will also take Dusan to familiarize himself with the campus, the two will give each other a language, Li Jie teaches him Chinese, Andussaint teaches Li Jie English, unconsciously, the relationship is getting closer and closer, and soon they fall in love hand in hand.
Not long after the establishment of the relationship, the careful Li Jie unexpectedly found that the boyfriend with a strong appearance was actually a sick straw, and she had a cold and fever from time to time, but she did not think about it at that time, but doubled her considerate care of her boyfriend.
"We went out on a trip together a few months ago and in the guesthouse he offered to have a relationship with me. At that time, he was overwhelmed by love, and although he was reluctant, he still agreed to him. ”
Second, what Li Jie did not expect was that that time would be the beginning of her nightmare
A few days later, Toussaint was missing. Li Jie was worried that her boyfriend could not open because of the quarrel with herself, and in a hurry, she directly found Toussaint's counselor to inquire about the situation.
"Toussaint was found to be infected with AIDS and was sent back to China a few days ago."
This news was like a thunderbolt on a sunny day for Li Jie, remembering that she had once had unsafe behavior, and suddenly felt that the sky was spinning.
Current status of AIDS in Chinese universities:
Officials say more than 3,000 new cases are added each year
Some scary data:

According to the Q2 National HIV-RELATED Disease Outbreak Report released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a total of 820756 cases of live HIV/AIDS patients were reported nationwide, and 40,104 new HIV/AIDS patients were found this season[1]. It can be seen that China has long been a "well-deserved" AIDS country, and frequent media reports are not empty.
It is worth noting that in recent years, young students like Li Jie have "sprung up" in the huge group of AIDS patients and quietly become a force that cannot be underestimated.
On November 23, the National Health Commission released a set of the latest data at a press conference, and in 2017, there were 3,077 new cases of HIV infection in colleges and universities across the country. What should have been the best college campus in life has now become a high incidence and hardest hit area for AIDS.
Number of young students infected with HIV in China from 2005 to 2012
According to reports, the net annual growth rate of HIV infection among college and middle school students aged 15 to 24 in mainland China has reached 35%. By the end of October 2015, 10 provinces had reported more than 100 cases of student infection in mainland China[3].
Third, the bitter fruit of ignorance: more than half of college students do not understand AIDS
After the diagnosis, Li Jie almost collapsed, and even had the idea of taking her own life several times.
"Why do you get infected? Why me? It was the doubt she was most desperate to figure out at the time.
"At that time, I couldn't eat or sleep, and I searched the Internet for information about AIDS every day."
During that time, through the Internet and books, Li Jie was fully popularized for the first time.
However, the more she learned about this knowledge, the more she hated her own ignorance.
However, she is far more ignorant than one, and surveys have shown that nearly half of freshmen who have just entered the university campus have insufficient knowledge of AIDS, and only 42.8% of college students know the way AIDS is transmitted; what is even more frightening is that less than 10% of college students know how to prevent AIDS [3].
These data have to make people lament that the reason why AIDS is "raging" on campus is that countless college students are using their lives to pay for their ignorance!
On college campuses, people seem to be much more receptive to "sex" than they think.
In 2015, a thorough survey of undergraduate students in 34 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Xi'an, by male and female grades, showed that 60.5% of the college students surveyed accepted sexual liberation and sexual freedom, 67.1% accepted premarital sex, and nearly 70% of students accepted unmarried cohabitation [4].
Li Jie has also always stressed that everything she does is nothing more than love, "I just loved him too much, believed in him too much, and all the requirements he made wanted to satisfy him, which led to a big mistake in the end."
Lack of sex education: who is not ready?
After experiencing all this, Li Jie, who studied alone outside, did not dare to tell her family all this.
"When I think about it now, it's as if yesterday I was a good daughter who was lying on her parents' knees, and now, I'm just a confused college student infected with AIDS." Li Jie was born in a small southern town, her father worked odd jobs in other places, and her mother was a housewife who could not read big characters, and the family was not rich, and the whole family was used to provide her with education.
In a family like Li Jie's, the topic of "sex education" seems to come from another world. In Li Jie's adolescence, parents and teachers often hung on their lips to learn these four words, and other than that, no one could tell her what AIDS was. How is it spread? Nor did anyone tell her how to protect herself when interacting with the opposite sex?
A college or university conducted a survey on the sources and channels of students' sexual knowledge, and the results showed that more than 80% of students obtained sexual knowledge through "books, magazines, film and television works, and computer networks", 11% from "other people's talk", 3% from teachers, and very few listened to their parents [3].
In the eyes of countless college students, love is free, and sex is also free, but behind this freedom, there is a deadly danger. "Going to college is like going to a free new world, with countless temptations coming at you, and sex is one of them, a strange and familiar thing."
However, when most students were asked whether they had ever received sex education, the impression was mostly vague and unfamiliar.
"In junior high school, when the teachers are in the youth education class, they all read the script, and there are occasionally a few boys in some places who get up and boo, and at other times no one is interested in listening." Parents never talked about sex at home, they were all 'self-taught'. ”
A statistical survey found that only 13.3% of students in the mainland have received sex education; 58.4% of college students have not received sex education, and another 58.2% of college students believe that the content of sex education in colleges and universities is too conservative [3].
Have countless parents and teachers, while blaming college students who have contracted AIDS because of "temporary negligence" for not knowing how to cherish life, have they ever thought that they also have their own responsibilities?
The arrival of sexual maturity in adolescence, children will naturally become interested in sex, if parents and teachers are still hiding, twisting and pinching can not open the mouth, curiosity will drive children to understand sex through other ways, the Internet is full of high-risk sexual behavior, sexual violence and even sexual crimes pornography will become the only way for children to understand sex education, imperceptibly, they will think that this is the way everyone generally treats sex in reality, and finally lead to tragedy.
Fifth, campus discrimination: AIDS is not a flood beast, but prejudice is invisibly deeply rooted
After becoming an HIV infected person, the strange eyes from schools, teachers, and even friends once made Li Jie suffer from mental torture.
"After contracting AIDS, I found that what was more terrible than the pressure of life and death was discrimination from others."
After falling ill, Li Jie heard about the unfair treatment suffered by too many AIDS patients. "After being infected with AIDS, some people and their families turn against each other, if they are students, they may be regarded as a plague by classmates and teachers, and company employees may be directly deprived of the right to work..."
The public regards AIDS as a flood beast, and prejudice has long been ingrained invisibly.
Last year, the topic of "AIDS scumbag showing off and infecting a sophomore girl" on Weibo caused heated discussion and social indignation, and the People's Daily even published an article saying that it was necessary to punish by the most severe means to make scum pay the price that should be paid.
It has also been suggested in the commentary that, in addition to a blanket condemnation, we should also see the root causes of the problem.
"People living with HIV are already desperate and inferior, and when they do not receive support from society and families, and suffer discrimination and unfair treatment from the outside world for a long time, they are prone to retaliation."
Indeed, AIDS patients have long suffered from both physical and psychological torture, and the last straw that crushes them is often not the suffering of illness, but the groundless discrimination and accusations of others.
"We have surveyed that less than 40% of students who have had sexual experience use condom use, and they are also sexually active and are susceptible to unsafe sexual behavior due to external influences. Before entering the university, it is very important to let them have the correct concept of sex, sexual morality, and sexual awareness. Han Mengjie, director of the AIDS Prevention Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a recent press conference of the National Health Commission.
