It is understood that Li Wenlong was born in 2001, and entered the Qingdao short track speed skating team at the age of 11, under the supervision of short track speed skating coaches Yang Zhanyu and Liu Xiaoying, focusing on the men's middle and long distance events. Li Wenlong practiced solid basic skills in the team and slid towards his dream step by step. In 2017, Li Wenlong was selected for the short track speed skating national team for the first time. It is reported that the short track speed skating competition of the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held from February 5 to 16, with a total of 9 gold medals (men's 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters relay, women's 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters relay, 2000 meters mixed relay), of which the mixed relay is a new project. The short track speed skating competition will be held at the Capital Gymnasium in Beijing.
Freestyle skiing U-shaped field - Li Fanghui, Mao Bingqiang
The qualifying rounds and finals for the men's and women's freestyle skiing U-shaped venues at the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held on February 17 and 18 at the Genting Ski Park in Zhangjiakou. One athlete from each sex in our province qualified for the event.
Among them, female athlete Li Fanghui was born in 2003 and was transported by Heze Songjiang Wushu School through cross-border cross-discipline selection. She has improved rapidly in recent years, and since the 2018-2019 season began to compete in the senior category, she has performed well in international competitions. Among them, it is worth mentioning that at the 2019 World Championships, Li Fanghui won the 5th place with 80.20 points, which is the first time that Chinese players have ranked in the top eight in the World Championships. Mao Bingqiang
Athlete Mao Bingqiang of our province successfully won a valuable Winter Olympic place in the men's group of the project. Mao Bingqiang began practicing skiing at the age of 11 and entered the national team in 2016 to practice the freestyle skiing U-shaped track project. According to reports, the freestyle ski U-shaped field project belongs to a small event in the freestyle skiing event, the competition is carried out in a groove similar to the shape of the U, the English name is Halfpipe, the structure consists of a wide flat bottom and concave slopes on both sides (or a quarter of the round pipe). The wide bottom is meant to get the athletes back balanced and prepare for the next move. In a round of competition, athletes generally need to do 5 to 6 movements in the U-shaped pool, and the score is determined according to the height of the action and the angle of rotation, as well as the fluency and aesthetics of the movement.
Compared with the snowboard U-shaped field project that began to form a team in 2003, the freestyle skiing U-shaped field project was not long in the mainland, and after the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics freestyle skiing U-shaped field was listed as an official competition project, the national training team was officially established in 2016, through cross-border cross-project selection, the average age of the team at that time was only 15 years old, but the overall progress of the project was relatively fast, especially for female athletes. With the strength that Li Fanghui currently has, it is very promising to break through from the qualifiers and launch a better position in the final. Compared with the female players, there is still a certain gap between the Chinese male players in the project and the world's high level.
Cross-country skiing – Hades Badri Khan
At the 2020-2021 National Cross-Country Skiing Championships held in January last year, the four young men of the Shandong team united and worked hard to win the gold medal in the men's 4×10 km team relay. It is worth mentioning that this is the first gold medal in the national competition of cross-country skiing in the history of our province, which has achieved a new breakthrough in cross-country skiing in Shandong ice and snow projects. The leader of this team is Hades Badri Khan. In that race, Hades Badri Khan also won two gold medals in the 50 km (freedom) and the ultra long distance individual all-around. It is understood that cross-country skiing is one of the oldest sports in the history of world sports, and it was included in the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924. Several team members in our province have been engaged in professional training in the project for less than three years. The Beijing Winter Olympics Bobsleigh Race will be held from February 13 to 20 at the National Bobsleigh Center in Yanqing, and athlete Tan Yinghui of our province was selected as a substitute for the women's double bobsleigh event in the Chinese delegation list of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
Before May 2018, Tan Yinghui was a rugby player who rode in the green field.
