In the great battle of poverty alleviation and the historical torrent of rural revitalization, the 302 village-based help and support teams in Baiyin City have become a powerful force, charging ahead and overcoming difficulties. 931 members of the task force walked into the poor villages to help them, swooped down, fought side by side with the grass-roots cadres and peasant masses, made sufficient efforts to "embroider" and dared to gnaw "hard bones", and let the bright red party flag fly high on the battlefield of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
In order to record the great journey and unite the strength to forge ahead, Silver Daily today opened the "My Village Story" column, and successively published a number of articles to tell the touching stories that occurred in the effective connection between the village-based help and support team and the team members in promoting poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, reviewing and recording the footprints traveled along the way, and using lenses and pen and ink to freeze those people, those things and those bits and pieces of moving.
In the southwest of Zhongquan Town, Jingtai County, 15 kilometers from the town government, there is a small mountain village called Chonghua Village. The village has jurisdiction over 213 households in five villager groups, with a total cultivated land area of 5544 mu, of which 3477 mu is dryland and 2067 mu is watered land, which are the land resources on which the villagers in the village rely for survival.
In June 2017, full of anxiety, Zhou Xiaoyun came to Chonghua Village, Zhongquan Town, Jingtai County, and became a member of the village-based help team, and since then, he has formed an indissoluble relationship with this deeply impoverished village.
When he first arrived in the village, Zhou Xiaoyun, who lacked rural work experience, felt very dazed, how to work? How can I do it well? What are the sources of income for villagers? What is the difference between households? Question marks were written in his mind. On the first day of his stay in the village, he wrote down in his heart the vow of "doing more practical things for the villagers and doing good things".
From knowing nothing to knowing, he only took 2 months. In the past two months, he has gone from house to house, conducted a thorough investigation of all 213 households in the village, and mastered in detail the population composition, family income and expenditure, industrial situation of Chonghua Village, as well as the problems and difficulties that the villagers are most concerned about, most needed, and most urgently needed to be solved.
"In order to increase the income of farmers, we began to explore the planting of characteristic forest fruit industry, organized more than 50 farmers, and successively went to Tianshui, Longnan, Kangxian and other places to investigate pepper planting technology and gain valuable experience." After coming back, we encourage farmers to plant peppercorns in large areas, planting for three years to start hanging fruit, like this pepper tree village has more than 260 acres, mu output value is expected to reach about 2500 yuan. Zhou Xiaoyun said.
While vigorously developing the planting industry, the village-based help and support team also actively coordinates and helps the village to introduce large-scale aquaculture projects, while strengthening the village collective economy, driving the masses to increase their income and become rich, and promoting rural revitalization.
It is understood that with the help of the village-based help and support team, Chonghua Village has invested more than 20 million yuan through investment attraction and built a 10,000-head pig breeding farm, which can drive the whole village to plant more than 2,000 mu of corn, increase the average income of growers by more than 800 yuan, and strengthen the village collective economy by 10,000 yuan per year. Successfully built an e-commerce platform, integrating local sesame oil, freshwater fish, free-range goats, reed chicken and other characteristic agricultural products, broadening sales channels and driving farmers to increase income. At the same time, they also helped harden 30 kilometers of village-level roads, built a new cultural square, and installed 30 solar street lights, which greatly changed the appearance of the village.
