Yachiyo is a succulent plant of the Sedum family Sedum, its stems are rod-shaped, upright growth, the epidermis is gray-white, easy to woody, the height can reach more than 20 cm, the leaves are hypertrophied, almost cylindrical, blunt and round at the apex, there is no leaf tip, the plant type is loose lotus-shaped, the whole plant is covered with a thin layer of white frost, the usual leaf color is emerald green, and the leaf tip will become pale yellow or yellowish red in the environment with sufficient light and large temperature difference, quite a little fresh feeling.
Yachiyo and Otome heart look very similar, not to mention novice friends face blindness, sometimes even senior meat friends who have raised many years of succulent will also be mistaken, but in fact, if we look closely, we can still find that there is no small difference between them: its 18,000 generations of stems are straighter, the epidermis is very smooth, and the stem color is grayish white from small to large, while the Otome heart stem is usually more curved, the epidermis has many leaf marks, the stem seedling stage is green, and after lignification, it becomes brown or brown.
Its 28,000-generation leaves have a long-term emerald green color, and when they emerge from the state, the front end changes color slightly, and the shape is a bit like a cucumber, and it is not very fond of long side buds. The otome heart is different, its leaf color is a little blue, the front end will turn red significantly when it comes out of the state, the shape is like an eggplant, especially like long side buds, after a certain period of time, its stems will appear everywhere side buds. The other Yachiyo does not like to grow gas roots like Otome Shin, and if you find that its stems have long gas roots, it is basically the following reasons: the first is the potting period. Yachiyo is similar to other succulents, and if the root system does not work properly during the potting period, it is possible to grow some air roots from the stem to quickly absorb the moisture of the air. Treatment method: Ignore it, keep the pot soil slightly damp, as long as the eight thousand generations of normal pots, the air roots on its stem will naturally age and fall off.
Secondly, the potting soil is too dry and the air humidity is higher. If it does not water Yachiyo for too long, in the rainy season or rainy weather, it will grow into some air roots to absorb the moisture in the air to avoid dying, which is a kind of stress response. Treatment method: Timely replenishment to Yachiyo, as long as the roots in its soil absorb water, the air roots on the stem will naturally dry up and fall off after a period of time.
In addition, eight thousand generations of roots or stems have problems. If we find that a large number of air roots grow on its stems, we must check the bottom of its stems and root system in time to see if the stems are dry and atrophied, and whether the root system has a sense of soil grabbing. If we do not deal with it in time in the case of stem wilting or root system problems, then eight thousand generations will grow into qi roots to save ourselves.
