French media: Dembele and Barca will open new negotiations in the next few days, and the former has no intention of joining Chelsea and other teams

According to Foot Mercato, the new contract negotiations between Dembele and Barca will reopen in the coming days, and Dembele himself does not want to join Chelsea or other teams in the winter window.

Previously, multiple media reported that Dembele was likely to leave Barcelona in the winter window or when his contract expired in the summer, but his agent Moussa Sissoko and Barcelona president Laporta will hold new talks tomorrow.

Dembele himself does not want to join Chelsea or any other team in the winter window, despite previous news that he will join Manchester United or Newcastle United for 20 million euros.

Barca are hoping to make progress on several upcoming transfer deals, including signing Spanish striker Morata or Argentine striker Nicolas Tagliafico, but that will require the team to ease the wage burden on some of their players, and Dembele's departure or contract extension will facilitate this.

As the team newspaper reported, both Barca and Dembele are willing to find a workable solution, although Barca's position remains clear, dembele has three options – to renew his contract with Barca, leave the team in the winter window, or stalemate until the end of the season.

In order to remain at Barca, Dembele reportedly wants to ask for an annual salary of 40 million euros, a 5-year contract extension and a signing bonus of 40 million euros.
