Founded in 1958, the Department of Pediatrics of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has continued to grow and develop under the leadership of Professor Wang Lie, the academic leader of the discipline and a master of traditional Chinese medicine, for more than 60 years. In 2012, it was identified as a doctoral degree authorization point, and now there are 5 doctoral supervisors and 2 postdoctoral co-supervisors in the discipline, and in the past five years, 5 doctoral students have been trained for the country. He has undertaken 7 continuing education projects at the provincial level and above, 1 key research and development project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 4 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 13 scientific research projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, 28 projects at the department and bureau level, 21 scientific and technological achievements, 4 awards from national societies, 19 awards from provincial societies, 5 patents, 23 academic works, 108 published papers, and fruitful teaching and scientific research achievements, highlighting the scientific research level of the discipline team and consolidating the academic position in the country. In the past five years, the discipline supervisor has published 125 academic papers, of which 23 are included in SCI, which is in a leading position in the national pediatrics of traditional Chinese medicine.
