On the occasion of the Spring Festival, the "Tiger and Tiger Shengfu - Nonyin Tiger Year New Year Chinese Zodiac Cultural Relics (Photo) Joint Exhibition" jointly planned by China Cultural Relics Newspaper and more than 40 cultural institutions was launched at the Yumen City Museum to deliver a "feast" of Spring Festival culture for the masses.
Tiger Tiger Shengfu - Nonyin Year of the Tiger New Year Zodiac Cultural Relics (Photo) Group Exhibition is composed of "Preface", "Tiger Leaping Ten Thousand Years", "Tiger In the East", "Tiger Walking in the World" and "Conclusion", with 72 selected panels.
The first unit is "Tiger Leaping Ten Thousand Years - Tigers in the Natural World", which popularizes and introduces the "10,000-year evolution, four-way distribution and endangered status" of tigers in nature to a wide audience in a graphic and textual manner.
The second unit is "Tigers in the East - Tigers in History and Culture", introducing the tigers in history and culture with "Chinese Sacred Beasts, Tiger Earthquake Bafang, Linghu Nafu, Tiger Shaped Into Paintings", from stone paintings of the Stone Age to bronze of the Shang Zhou, stone carvings of the Qin and Han Dynasties, murals of the Southern and Northern Dynasties of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, to the calligraphy and paintings of the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as the copper, porcelain, gold and jade of various dynasties.
The third unit is "Tigers walk in the world - tigers in folk life", with "tigers also have spirits, pray for blessings to ward off evil, tigers are blessed with children's fun", the image of the tiger enters the folk, it has become a "mascot" passed down from generation to generation, people think that tigers can distinguish between good and evil, ward off demons, ward off evil and eliminate impurities, prolong life, and also protect children's growth and eliminate family disasters.
