According to reporter Javi, the mayor of Madrid announced the transformation of the old Calderon site into a park with Atletico elements.

Madrid Mayor Jose Luis Martínez Almeida has announced that a park will be built in the location of Atletico's old stadium Calderon. This park will be called "Atletico Madrid Park" and the park will have a lot to do with the club.

Calderon, the old home of Atletico Madrid, began dismantling the stadium on February 13, 2019 and completing on July 6, 2020. In 2017, Atletico moved their new home stadium to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
