The true story of the American horror doll Annabelle: it is possessed by evil spirits

I believe that many people have played with dolls when they were young, with big eyes, soft bodies, blonde hair, and beautiful clothes. But in fact, every country has some horror legends about dolls to a greater or lesser extent.

The American movie Annabelle 2: Birth tells the story of the tragic death of the daughter of a doll craftsman couple. Years later, the couple entertained nuns and a few girls from the closed orphanage to their home, but the crowd became prey to Annabelle, a terrifying doll possessed by evil spirits.

In fact, it is based on real events.

However, reality is always more bizarre than movies.

In American legend, Annabelle is a "demon" doll who is possessed by evil spirits.

Annabelle's story begins in 1970 when a mother buys the doll from a dilapidated second-hand store for her daughter Donna as a birthday present.

Donna is already a college student, so she takes the doll back to the apartment she shared with her friend Angie. But soon, they noticed that the doll's hand seemed to start making some small movements.

Then, the doll began to move around the apartment, one second it was clearly in Donna's bed, the next it appeared outside the room.

Donna and Angie's friend Lou hate the doll and feel very upset every time he sees her. The two girls didn't really care at first. When things get more and more horrible.

One day Donna came home to find Annabelle lying flat on the bed, red liquid oozing from her hands like her own blood.

The girls were terrified and decided to invite a psychic agent to investigate. It turned out that a long time ago, before the apartment was built, a seven-year-old girl named Annabelle Higgins died here, and her soul still wandered here. Attached to the ragdoll, she spied on the girls who lived there, and eventually discovered that Donna and Angie were trustworthy.

Annabelle just wanted to be with the girls and had no ill will. Donna and Angie feel sorry for Annabelle and decide to leave the doll behind, as if they were accompanying the seven-year-old Annabelle.

But this decision led to all the chaos that followed.

One night, Lou woke up from a deep sleep and felt a pang of panic. He found himself unable to move anymore, and at the end of his bed he saw the doll slowly crawl over his legs, then move to his chest and stop. Then she grabbed him by the neck with her hand and tried to strangle him.

Lu passed out, and when he woke up the next day, he was so confused that he couldn't figure out whether the previous night's experience was real or if he was having a nightmare.

At this moment, he heard some noises coming from Donna's room, but Donna was not at home.

Lou went to Donna's room, where no one was there, and the room was empty, but Annabelle was sitting in a chair instead of being put on the bed as usual.

As he walked toward the doll, he felt as if someone was behind him, and then felt a sharp pain in his chest, tore open his shirt, and found seven paw marks on his body, as if someone had caught him.

These paw prints healed quickly and disappeared almost completely within two days. Lou knew that this must be Annabelle's "masterpiece".

Completely frightened, Donna asks for help from a Bishop Hegan priest who advises them to contact the mystery experts Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Warrens tell the girls that the doll is being manipulated by an "inhumane demon." The doll itself has no life, so the ultimate goal of the demon is to rob the real body, that is, Donna.

The couple performed a "purification" ceremony for the apartment, using a special kind of bishop's blessing, and then took the dolls with them.

They did not choose the highway, because they were afraid that the evil spirit would possess the high-speed truck, and the consequences would be unimaginable. But they did not expect to choose the path, or encountered strange things. Their car engines kept turning off, steering was repeatedly blocked, and brakes later failed. In a hurry, Ed took out the doll and sprinkled holy water on it, and everything calmed down.

In the couple's home, the dolls also often move around. A visiting pastor saw her and said to Annabelle, "You're just a doll, you can't hurt anyone." Then tossed her aside. The priest was in a car accident a few hours after leaving, the car was scrapped, and fortunately the man survived.

Similar incidents occur from time to time, with the Warrens eventually locking Annabelle in a cupboard and being cared for by the two. The imprisoned doll no longer seemed to move, but her eyes kept staring out, as if waiting for the moment to see the light of day again.

Now, Annabelle is in the Ed and Lorraine Couple's Psychic Museum in Connecticut, famous for its collection of objects with "problems." Ed Warren died in 2006, and Lorraine is still on her mission. She once said she didn't dare look at the doll because it was "the worst thing in the whole museum."
