Yan Feng, a professor at the Department of Chinese of Fudan University, commented on the post-90s writer Yin Guang that her science fiction works integrate elements such as poetry, music, games, and script killing, and strive to break through the barriers between different cultural forms, which is a cross-border exploration of literature, painting and music in the multimedia era.
The sharing meeting of Yin Guang's new work "Tianhai Small Scroll" was held in Beijing a few days ago, and Professor Yang Qingxiang, deputy dean of the School of Literature and young critic of Chinese Min University, science fiction writers Xinghe, Yang Ping, and Chaoxia, poets Li Hao and Hou Lei, young writers Meng Xiaoshu and author Yin Guang, etc., jointly discussed the interaction and fusion of novels, poetry and music, literary forms in the era of science and technology, and the relationship between fantasy and reality. The event was sponsored by the National Children's Science Fiction Alliance and the European and American Alumni Association Youth Committee in the United States.
"Tianhai Scroll" is a fantasy work, the novel imitates the "string theory", the setting world is a string, the different pieces of music created by plucking the strings are different time and space, the protagonist travels in all directions, experiences and practices, through the growth of chanting or artistic ability, shaping the growth of personality, which is refreshing.
Yang Qingxiang said that Yin Guang's "Tianhai Small Volume", as a novel written from the ocean, is an organic supplement to the writing tradition of contemporary literature. He believes that "the young author's attempt to sort out the Chinese myth and legend system, and to carry out modernity, creative transformation, and build a fantasy series belonging to the East is a good start." Yang Qingxiang hopes that young writers will pay more attention to the dialectical attachment relationship between "illusion" and "reality" in the process of creation.
Poet Li Hao believes that this book uses poetry, music, modern new technology and ancient traditional mythology to open up many directions, involving different human civilizations, and let us know more about the experience of space through the text.
In the view of science fiction writer Chaoxia, "Tianhai Scroll" is set grandly and can continue to be made into a series, and the bard tells the story of people who walk everywhere and spread stories everywhere, and there is a "meta-story" component. The young poet Hou Lei believes that "Tianhai Scrolls" as a Chinese-style long fantasy novel, using Chinese elements to tell Chinese stories, creating a new world belonging to the East. Young writer Meng Xiaoshu mentioned that Yin Guang's works integrate popular literature, serious literature, music, business, etc. very well, and are worth reading.
Yin Guang participated in the 10th National Composition Congress held in December 2021 as a representative of young writers after the 90s, and combined with her own creation, she said that some time ago, the TV series "The Age of Awakening" triggered a boom, and also made her think about the "new youth" and "new literature" produced in the great changes of the 21st century era, how to perceive the social life in the new era and record the new life at present. "In my previous historical novel "Shangshan", which is based on the cultural circles of the Tang Dynasty, and the series of urban theme novels "Puzzles of Memory of Hong Kong Drift" have incorporated classical elements such as opera, integrating fantasy, science fiction, ancient style, reality and other styles, in order to explore the multiple dimensions of literature and seek to establish an oriental aesthetic 'artistic utopia' creation system." Yin Guang said that this is also a new attempt by a new generation of young literary and art workers to inherit national culture, shape identity and establish oriental aesthetic discourse.
