Kunshan, China News Network, October 14 (Reporter Sun Quan) "Garden Tour", "Frightening Dreams", "Dream Hunting"... On the evening of the 13th, the first national university Kunqu society performance debuted in the "Kunqu Town" Kunshan Bacheng Town. At the scene, students from 10 university Kunqu societies such as Peking University, Fudan University, Tongji University and other universities used Qingli Kunqu to interpret the university version of "Peony Pavilion", so that the ancient Kunqu opera showed the voice of "youth" and contributed the strength of contemporary college students to the inheritance and protection of Kunqu.

Kunqu opera is an ancient Chinese opera sound cavity and drama genre, and is known as a treasure in the art of opera. In 2001, Kunqu opera was listed by UNESCO as a "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Mankind".

As the birthplace of Kunqu Opera, Bacheng Town has vigorously promoted the construction of "Kunqu Town" in recent years, actively built a Kunqu cultural carrier, introduced Kunqu cultural and creative industries, held Kunqu brand activities, and built Kunqu tourism routes, so that Kunqu opera can glow with new style, bloom new charm and form new traffic.

Since 2015, Bacheng Town has held 7 consecutive Chongyang Qu Festivals, attracting and cultivating a large number of Kunqu fans, and forming a good response in the Kunqu circles and cultural fields at home and abroad. On the evening of the 13th, the 2021 Kunshan Bacheng Chongyang Quhui was also opened at the same time. In the evening, more than 20 Kunqu scholars, Kunqu performance artists and more than 100 Kunqu lovers at home and abroad gathered here to explore the origins of Kunqu, discuss Kunqu culture, and promote Chinese treasures.

In order to make Kunqu opera closer to more young audiences, Bacheng Town tried to jointly formulate the "Bacheng Peking University Kunqu Inheritance Plan Plan" with Peking University, and cooperated to hold the first National University Kunqu Society Performance, interpreting different Kunqu opera from the perspective of young people.

"Young people are the future of Kunqu. I began to study Kunqu opera at the age of 9, when I was young, I thought Kunqu was very beautiful, and when I grew up, I was more able to appreciate the elegance of Kunqu Chinese, the beauty of my body, and the beauty of singing. Zhang Yunqi, a student of Peking University and a doctoral student in the Department of Philosophy, played Du Liniang in the university version of "Peony Pavilion", saying that being able to report the learning results to qu friends from all over the country in the birthplace of Kunqu opera is of great significance, and also allows herself to see the vitality of Kunqu opera that is deeply rooted in the folk.

In the view of Cai Zhengren, director of the Kunqu Opera Professional Committee of the China Kunqu Opera Guqin Research Association and a famous Kunqu performance artist, this year's ChongyangQu Festival is a grand event to promote the interactive exchange of Kunqu Opera, Kunqu Opera Society and Kunqu opera lovers, and it is also a gathering, an exhibition and an exchange of the new generation of Kunqu opera actors and Kunqu lovers. "This allows us to see the orderly and continuous rebirth of Kunqu, the world's intangible cultural heritage." Cai Zhengren said.

"Kunshan is a beautiful folding fan, on the one hand is economic, on the other hand is culture." Fang Xuehua, member of the Standing Committee of the Kunshan Municipal Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department, said that around the launch of the "Jiangnan Culture" brand, the city is making every effort to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional culture represented by Kunqu Opera, and condensing the spiritual strength of the new era with excellent culture.

The 2021 Kunshan Bacheng Chongyang Ququ Festival is hosted by the China Kunqu Opera Guqin Research Association and the Kunshan Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by the Kunshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism, and the Kunshan Bacheng Town People's Government.

During the quhui, relying on various Kunqu opera and traditional cultural carriers such as Bacheng Old Street, Bacheng Town will organize and carry out more than 10 colorful activities such as Quyou Yaji, Bamboo Flute Salon, Seal Carving Masters Invitation Exhibition Opening Ceremony, Wenqu Ya Collection Exhibition and Guqin YaJi, Chongyang Oratorio Concert, etc., with Kunqu opera as the link, and constantly enlarge the "good voice" of Kunqu.
