Located at the junction of Congjiang, Rongjiang and Libo counties in Guizhou Province, Moon Mountain belongs to the Jiuwan Mountain System, and is also the place where Zhuge Liang captured Mengmeng in the legend, and it is still inhabited by the descendants of the Guyelang people. Because the peak of the mountain stands in the clouds, standing on the top of the mountain seems to be able to touch the moon in the sky, so it is named "Moon Mountain".

The primeval forest that stretches for hundreds of miles in the mountains is a "forbidden area" that is rarely visited. It is home to rare plants such as salamander and eucalyptus, and from time to time black bears, leopards, wolves and bison haunt the mountains. Legend has it that the villagers here have seen wild people haunt many times, covering the original Moon Mountain with a mysterious veil.
In history, there have been more than 12 savage incidents on Moon Hill, and some people claim to have found savage footprints and hairs. According to the statistics of Mr. Zhu Fazhi, who has been engaged in the study of wild people for many years, in the Moon Mountain, about 1,000 people said that they had seen "wild people", which was far more than 360 witnesses in Shennongjia, almost 3 times more.

01 Thousands of people witnessed wildlings, the history is earlier than Shennongjia, and villagers claim to have caught female wildlings

According to the Guizhou Business Daily, the history of the appearance of wild people on Guizhou Moon Mountain is even earlier than that of Shennongjia in Hubei Province. The history of the Moon Mountain Savage dates back to June 1930, when 12 Hmong hunters from the Moon Mountain Plan Village went up the mountain to hunt, and in the fierce battle, they captured a "female savage" with red hair.
In 1951, a local hunter named Wu Zuochang found a group of wild people near Guyou Creek, at least eight or ninety, young and old, tall and short, red haired, yellow haired, black haired, and miscellaneous hair. According to him, he also killed one "female savage", and the others ran into the woods in a panic.
In the mid-1970s, the villagers of Moon Hill went into a dense forest called Tiger Chong to collect arrows and bamboo shoots, and on the way, they met a "female savage" who was about 170 centimeters tall, weighed about 150 pounds, and had decent facial features, which scared him so much that he didn't even run home immediately from the bamboo basket.
One day in 1985, when a village cadre in The Village of Wule went into the mountains to work, he saw a group of 70-centimeter-tall "little savages", who were lined up in a neat line, passing by the village cadre without hurrying, and the sound of "Cabo, Cabo" was still emitted from time to time in his mouth.
In the autumn of 1994, when a hunter from Planning Township went hunting on the main peak of Moon Mountain, he saw a red-haired "wild woman" with long hair on the ground, and his back was a bit like his idol Fan Bingbing.
Here comes the most bizarre thing. On February 4, 1996, a 64-year-old Miao elderly man in The village of Wula carried two small jars from his home to a cowshed on the hill. When passing a steep slope, they were stopped by the "female savage", and the two of them rolled down the slope while fighting, all the way to the bottom of the ditch. At that time, the "female savage" in heat gave the old man to that on the river beach. The whole process was really seen by the cowherds on the opposite hill.
In the summer of 2004, there was an incident in the Moon Mountains where suspected unidentified humanoid animals harmed villagers. A big aunt surnamed Wu, who lives in The Village of Pendulum, went to Oolong chong to collect pig grass. Suddenly, a red-haired "strange man" threw her to the ground, threw her aunt's knife aside, and then tore her dress...
In August 2016, in the village of Pingyan, deep in the Moon Mountain, wu Zhizhong, a medicine farmer, went up the mountain to collect medicine, and on a boulder, he found "savage footprints", which were twice larger than the feet of adult men.

02 state chronicles have been recorded, the supply and marketing agency also received "wild man skins", and the professor only found the hair of "wild people"

In the "Chronicle of Qiandongnan Prefecture And Strange Animals", there is a record of wild people written like this: human bear, commonly known as wild man, completely human-like, male and female cohabitation. The Changcheng team appeared at Moon Mountain in the state... Not only in the state records of qiandongnan, but also in the "ancient songs of the Miao people", there are chapters on how to prevent and deal with wild people.
In the 1950s, supply and marketing cooperatives around Moon Hill also acquired a number of "wild man" skins. In order to let the acquisition personnel distinguish between "human bear" and "dog bear", the supply and marketing cooperative also deliberately hung the two skins in the store at the same time for comparison. But where these skins ended up, there is no record of them.
In response to the wild man incident that has been boiling over moon mountain in recent years, in 1984, professor Liu Minzhuang, a famous ecological expert, led an expedition team to moon mountain. After a month of investigation, Professor Liu found only suspected wild human hairs on Moon Mountain, which was said to be "the hair of an unknown primate between apes and humans." As for whether it is a "savage", no one knows!
It is not surprising to find even the so-called "wild man" hair around Moon Mountain, because local hunters have a custom that whenever they catch prey, they always like to leave a certain part of the prey's body as a "souvenir", such as animal hair, bones, palms, paws, etc.
In addition to Professor Liu Minzhuang's inspection, local scholar Zhu Fazhi has gone deep into the Moon Mountains no less than 30 times to investigate wild people. Zhu Fazhi has traveled almost all over the villages around Moon Mountain, but these search activities have not allowed Zhu Fazhi to find live or specimens of "wild people", and the evidence of "wild people" he has collected so far is limited to specimens such as "wild man" hair.

03 Facial monkey-like and human-like, "change wife" is cruel, "human bear" is good-looking, and also sends prey to people

Witnesses claim that wildlings can walk upright, are taller than apes, and have some intelligence. According to eyewitness accounts, the "wildlings" that haunted the Moon Mountain area all have some common external features:
First, the face is like a monkey, and a bit like a person, the face is hairless, you can see the yellow skin, the chin is a little short; second, the head is covered with red hair, a lot of hair is long and buttocks; third, the body is thin, the body has a sweat odor, the height is between 0.6 meters -1.9 meters, the weight generally does not exceed 100 kg; fourth, the whole body has long hair, the hair is about 20 cm long, shiny and shiny, very good-looking; fifth, the back of the hand hair is long, the palm of the hand is hairless; sixth, generally has a tail, but shorter.
However, there are certain differences between them, and according to the degree of difference, they can be roughly divided into three categories:
The first type of "savages", everyone gave it the honorific title of "little mountain god". The height of the adult "little mountain god" is generally only 70 centimeters, and the coat color on the body is very mixed, there are yellow, red, and even green, the soles of the feet are all backwards, and the heels are forward, and there is no tail. Gentle personality, not only does not take the initiative to attack people, but also can "peaceful coexistence" with people, sending prey to people.
The second type of "wild people", folk called "change women", are not tall, look like people, most of them are red, their hair is up to 1 meter long, and they are always draped. The "change wife" has a strange personality, is very cruel, is good at running, and has great strength. People who do not understand scientific common sense still think that people "change" after death, and give it a name of "change wife" to scare people.
The third category of "wild people", known locally as "human bears", is tall, similar in size to black bears, tall up to 1.9 meters tall, full of hair. It generally does not hurt people, and likes to follow the people who go up the mountain to graze their cattle, not far away.

04 Is it a bear, or a mountain fish, or is there really a "wild man"?

In response to the Moon Mountain Savage Incident, netizens have their own views, most people believe that what the villagers witnessed is not a "savage" at all, it is likely to be a beast.
A netizen named "Falih" believes that it is most likely a dog bear, that is, an Asian black bear. They have good reasons, one is that there have been many black bears in the primeval forest of Moon Mountain; the other is that the appearance of black bears is very similar to the appearance described by witnesses, and their living habits are similar, and the villagers are likely to see the eyes and mistakenly think that the bear is a "wild man".
Animal lovers judge it as a mountain fish, tall and powerful, and people cannot compete with it. The general way to deal with the soil is to carry a pair of bamboo sleeve sleeves with you, and when you encounter a mountain fish, you will stick out your hands to let it catch. The mountain fish that caught the person smiled happily with both eyes, and when the mountain fish's eyes were closed, the person who was caught took the opportunity to pull out his hands and secretly fled.
Many scholars who study wildlings insist that they are wildlings and classify them as homo sapiens species in the genus Homo sapiens, saying that it is an unproven but real primate that can walk upright, is higher than apes, and has a certain intelligence. After inspecting the Moon Mountain Savage Incident, Chinese National Geographic reporter Tax Xiaojie believes that what he has seen and heard through field investigations shows that the possibility of villagers mistaking animals such as bears or apes for "savages" is quite small, and the villagers here have been hunting for generations and will not be unable to distinguish these animals.
Are there any wildlings?
