This illustration is from The Funny Book for Boys and Girls, published in 1856. The book contains the stories of the unkempt Peter, the worthless boys and girls, the troublesome child, the Nutcracker King, and poor Rhinehold.

The story of this illustration is derived from Heinrich Hoffmann's Peter the Untouchables. The author Hoffman, a psychiatrist, he painstakingly searched for bookstores in Germany, but he could not find a book suitable for his children, because his children had more problems, so he thought bitterly and wrote this fairy tale of "scaring children". This illustration tells the story of a little boy who walks and looks at the sky, who is tripped by a dog; he does not have a long memory, and as a result, he falls into the water, and after being rescued, the school bag floats away.
