Hongkong Post announced yesterday (25 January) that on 4 February it will issue special stamps and related stamps with the theme of "24th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing 2022" to wish Hong Kong athletes a good record at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
A set of four special stamps shows the different events of the Winter Olympics, namely alpine skiing, ice hockey, and figure skating short track speed skating. Each stamp is printed with the silhouette of an athlete and is accompanied by a streamline of the five olympic rings, which adds a dynamic design and makes this Winter Olympic stamp more collectible.
In order to facilitate the ordering of diaposts and to reduce social contacts in light of the latest developments in the local epidemic in Hong Kong, Hongkong Post will reopen the online booking service from 8:00 a.m. on 27 January to 3 February for customers to order the above special stamps and related philatelic products.
