Located in the northwest of Guanghan, Sichuan, the Sanxingdui ancient site in Henan, is the cultural site with the largest range (distribution area of 12 square kilometers), the longest duration (5,000 to 3,000 years of history), and the richest cultural connotation (known as the "source of Yangtze River civilization") found in the southwest region of the mainland so far.

In 1929, with the accidental discovery of local farmers in Taogou, the Sanxingdui site reappeared, and in 1934, the archaeological team composed of the West China University Museum excavated the Sanxingdui site on a small scale for the first time, and the museum director sorted out the "Hanzhou Excavation Bulletin" based on the excavated cultural relics.
Since the 1950s, the archaeological team has successively excavated the Sanxingdui site, and by the 1980s and 1990s, archaeologists excavated the site on a large scale, and the cultural relics it unearthed attracted international attention, but Sanxingdui could obviously be studied in depth, but why did it suddenly not dig down? Expert: What do you see digging out?
Archaeologists in the early stage of large-scale excavations of the Sanxingdui site, found that the Sanxingdui ancient culture was widely distributed in the Sichuan region, and unearthed many special artifacts that were different from any other archaeological culture, so the excavators named this archaeological culture "Sanxingdui culture".
At that time, archaeologists did not think that the "Sanxingdui culture" would rewrite the history of ancient Chinese civilization in the future, and after the excavation of the two "sacrifice pits" in 1986, thousands of bronzes, gold, jade, ivory and thousands of sea shells reappeared, as well as the excavation of the ancient city site of Sanxingdui.
The academic community has thoroughly understood that the Sanxingdui culture is actually a splendid ancient civilization with bronzes, cities, written symbols and large ceremonial buildings, subverting the previous cognition of the academic community, and the Sanxingdui culture has also pushed forward the civilization history of the ancient Shu State by 1500 years, more than 700 years before the existence of the Xia Dynasty.
The mainland knows that the writing system about the Xia Dynasty period has not yet been unearthed, but there are many records of the Xia Dynasty in later generations, but before the Xia Dynasty, it was basically a legend, so the bronze human heads unearthed at Sanxingdui that revealed a strange and mysterious smile attracted many opinions from all walks of life, and many people believe that aliens came here thousands of years ago, so these things were born.
Among them, the bronze Da Li statue with a height of 1 meter 8 is known as the "king of the world's bronze statues", which has a history of more than 3,000 years, what kind of identity does he symbolize?
Some people think that this is the image of a generation of Shu kings, or some people think that its image is very similar to the word "corpse" in ancient Chinese characters, which should be interpreted as "standing corpse".
In addition, the most mysterious place of the bronze statue is that the central axis of its left and right hands is not in a straight line, many people think that it is holding something in its hand, but when it was unearthed, its hand only showed this posture, and did not take anything, whether it disappeared or did not take it originally, no one can explain.
The Sanxingdui site has unearthed so many things that are incomprehensible and unprecedented, unheard of, and unrecorded, and many people cannot imagine how these things came about thousands of years ago.
That is to say, the bronze technology mastered by the mainland in ancient times is most likely influenced and spread by the culture of the ancient Shu state. Moreover, judging from the bronze masks unearthed in Sanxingdui, the faces of this civilization are actually not similar to those of the ancients on the mainland. This mysterious site, the large number of mysterious artifacts found in the ruins, have made archaeologists both curious and afraid, which is one of the reasons why the Sanxingdui culture has not been deeply studied.
