The ai-power war has begun.
After a series of predictions and debates, artificial intelligence is gradually infiltrating all walks of life. Admittedly, we still face some challenges, but they are all practical in nature. For example, how to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence by guiding employees to learn new skills; how to evaluate and solve the problem of data privacy and security; how to optimize the artificial intelligence governance system to truly realize the vision of artificial intelligence for the benefit of mankind; and how to overcome the problem that artificial intelligence cannot be "landed" and mass-produced.
Today we share a study from KPMG's Ai Everywhere, which aims to analyze these challenges and challenges and explore the implementation of AI in healthcare, financial services, transportation, technology, and retail in the United States. This report shows that although the degree of implementation of AI in different industries varies, it is very encouraging that all industries are actively involved in the development of AI.
The speed at which artificial intelligence is developing: the potential of artificial intelligence
While two-thirds of industry respondents believe that ai is evolving at an appropriate pace in their industry, most still say they want their organizations to be more active in developing AI technologies.
Hype or Reality: The Current State of Artificial Intelligence
For technology, transportation, healthcare, and retail, most people in the industry believe that artificial intelligence is currently more of a concept of hype than far from reality, and the number of people who hold this view is 57%, 69%, 52% and 64% respectively; only the number of people in the financial services industry who hold this view is not more than half, 42%.
Are employees ready for AI adoption in businesses: fact or fiction
The highest percentage of surveyed executives are 79 percent confident about whether employees are prepared to adopt AI for their businesses, but managers are often in direct contact with employees in their day-to-day work, so managers are more aware of the skills they have, but only 38 percent of manager-level respondents are confident. Clearly, different levels of managers disagree on whether their organizations are adequately prepared for AI adoption.
Technology industry: leading the application of artificial intelligence
Nearly two-thirds, or 63 percent, of tech insiders say AI plays a role or plays a full role within their organizations. Industry insiders in other industries recognize the gap and agree that the technology industry is at a leading level in the field of artificial intelligence.
Financial Services: Disrupting the Banking Industry
85% of people in the financial services industry are confident about whether AI can help solve industry challenges such as detecting fraud. In addition, 64% of people in the financial services industry believe that in the next five years, consumers will not need to withdraw money from traditional banks.
Retail: Improve the quality of customer service
56% of retail insiders believe that AI will have the biggest impact on the field of customer intelligence in the next two years. In addition, 80% of retail industry insiders said that artificial intelligence has effectively alleviated customer service problems.
Healthcare: Improving the patient experience
According to the outlook of the healthcare industry for the future, 90% of the healthcare industry believe that ai will effectively improve the patient experience, and believe that AI has the greatest impact on medical diagnosis (47%), electronic health record (HER) management (41%), robot participation in medical projects (40%), and other fields.
Transportation: Industry insiders are wary of adopting AI
82% of people in the transportation industry believe that the government should participate in the regulation of artificial intelligence to some extent, which is higher than all other industries; 77% of the transportation industry believe that artificial intelligence poses a direct threat to the security and privacy of consumer data.
