In September 2020, Nvidia announced a $40 billion acquisition of ARM, a British chip design giant owned by SoftBank Group. According to the original plan, Nvidia will complete the acquisition of ARM within 18 months of the announcement of the acquisition in September 2020, that is, in March 2022.
