Sky Sports reported that Spurs were close to taking away Adama Traore for £20 million, and Conte wanted to use the winter window to sign another midfielder and a striker.
Spurs' previous offer for Adama Traore was rejected for £15m and Wolves asked for £25m, with the two sides negotiating to reach an agreement on a price of £20m. Adama Traore's contract with Wolves expires in June 2023, and Wolves are eager to keep him and have negotiated a 15-month contract extension with him.
If Wolves and Tottenham can agree on a transfer fee, the player's individual terms are not expected to be a problem. The winter window is closing and Spurs boss Antonio Conte is also hoping to bring in a new midfielder and a new striker.
