Markkanen sprained his ankle in a previous game against the Thunder and put on protective boots while on crutches afterwards. While the Cavaliers don't have a specific timeline for players to be absent, he is expected to be out for at least a few weeks, according to multiple sources.

Markkanen has played in 38 games for the Cavaliers this season, averaging 30.2 minutes per game and having 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds.
