Tianji 9000 performed well in the benchmark test, will MediaTek succeed in hitting the high-end this time?

MediaTek announced late last year the launch of a new generation of flagship SoCs, called the Density 9000. This is the first SoC to use the ARMv9 architecture and the first SoC to support LPDDR5X memory at 7500 MT/s. Perhaps competitors such as Qualcomm did not expect that the Tianji 9000 would have a very good performance. Recent benchmarks have shown that in the high-end SoC of the new generation of Android platforms, the Tianji 9000 has the closest performance to the A15 Bionic.

According to Wccftech, in the Geekbench 5 benchmarks participated in the A15 Bionic, Tianji 9000, Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 8 Gen1, and Exynos 2200, whether it is a single-core benchmark or a multi-core benchmark, the Tianji 9000 is superior to competitors on other Android platforms. With a score of 1278 and 4410 on the two tests, the Tianji 9000 is the first Android platform SoC to break through the 4000 level. Although the Tianji 9000 performed well, there was still a certain gap compared with the A15 Bionic's score (single 1750/ more than 4885).

Although the results of the benchmark test are good, there are still some issues to understand, such as the platform equipped with the Tianji 9000, its power consumption and heat generation, and how this data compares to other competitors. After all, the Tianji 9000 will be used in smartphones, power consumption/heat situation and performance are equally important, to know that Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen1 have some problems in this regard.

In any case, I believe that such a result as the Tianji 9000 will make Qualcomm and Samsung nervous.
