On December 11, "Children of the Sun" participated in the recording of the "Golden 100 Seconds" program of CCTV Variety Channel in Beijing, and successfully challenged and successfully passed the customs. Late at night on December 12, the four members of the "Children of the Sun" returned to Dongguan to meet their families, and their tired faces could not hide their inner joy and excitement. "Son of the Sun" almost became a "cage of roasted wheat"
The "Son of the Sun" male vocal quartet group is composed of four members: Chen Anru, deputy head of the art department of Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Chen Guoke, music teacher of Dongguan Experimental Middle School, Chen Quanzhang, music teacher of Dongguan Middle School Junior High School, and Li Yaojiang, music teacher of Dongguan No. 5 Senior High School.
Chen Anru was originally a music teacher at Dongguan Middle School, and Chen Guoke, Chen Quanzhang and several music teachers in the city have organized a regular singing activity every week since 2005, but at the beginning they were solo singers, and a person could only sing two or three songs a night at most, which made them feel unhappy.
"At that time, we were thinking about whether we could set up a heavy singing group and insist on building this group into a brand for a long time." Chen Anru said that they began to try to sing some quartet works, but due to various reasons such as personnel flow, inexperience, and imperfect voice parts, they were not fixed after three years.
Until 2008, after Li Yaojiang graduated from the Conservatory of Music and became a music teacher at Dongguan No. 5 Senior High School, at a teaching and research conference, Chen Anru listened to his singing and felt that Li Yaojiang was the person they were looking for. At once, the "Son of the Sun Male Vocal Heavy Singing Group" was officially established.
The name of the group "Children of the Sun" was chosen by the four members and their families. At that time, the alternative combination names also included "a cage of roasted wheat" and "old vinegar"; but "Son of the Sun" won in the end because everyone felt that the name was sunny, upward, and full of eternal positive energy.
Behind the extraordinary achievements of 12 years is unremitting perseverance
The "Son of the Sun" was born with great splendor. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, they successfully held special concerts at Dongguan Yulan Grand Theatre for three consecutive years. Successfully held a special concert with the famous Chinese singing group "Black Duck" and "Eight Eyes". "Children of the Sun" has created a brand in the Dongguan music industry.
Starting from Dongguan, in 2017, they participated in the recording of CCTV's "Qunying Hui" and the sixth "China Farmers' Song Festival"; in 2018, they were invited to participate in the "New Year's Eve Concert" of Guangzhou Television; in 2019, they were invited to participate in the recording of "Guangdong Satellite TV Spring Festival Gala"... There are hundreds of performances in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places.
In 2018, they teamed up with Guangdong famous musician Fang Yi to create the group's first sterling silver album "Because You Fall in Love with Her"; in 2019, the Son of the Sun at the Guangzhou Film Exhibition won the "Most Popular Group Award", the first album "Because You Fell in Love with Her" won the "Best Production Award"; in 2020, they won the "2017-2019" Annual "Top Ten Bands (Groups) Award" of the Guangdong Pop Music Association.
They have successfully cooperated with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and other national first-class orchestras for many times. He has won various provincial and municipal awards such as the 10th China Arts Festival "Stars Award" and the 13th "Guangdong Province 100 Songs praise Chinese Singers (Group) Singing Competition" gold medal.
Behind the extraordinary achievements are countless days and nights of dedication and effort, rain or shine, perseverance. Chen Anru said that since its inception, in addition to work, they have rehearsed, sung and accumulated hundreds of works every week. "Sometimes, the four of us go out together and practice in the same car."
Use singing to show a different Dongguan
In March this year, when the new crown pneumonia epidemic was severe, they took selfies, self-edited, self-directed, and self-performed a large number of works of different styles, and released them on their Douyin numbers, watermelon videos and headlines. The CCTV director quietly became their fans, and finally issued an invitation letter earlier this month, inviting them to go to "Golden 100 Seconds" to accept the challenge.
"Golden 100 Seconds" is a stage to prove your strength and express your heart. The rules of the show are: the performers use 100 seconds of performance time to release their talents and passions, win the support of more than half of the audience, and the contestants who can stand for 100 seconds are successful, and the contestants who can stand for less than 100 seconds are failures.
On December 7, the "Children of the Sun" rushed to Beijing. Chen Anru said, "The works we sang were determined by the director after we arrived in Beijing, and one of the talent display works, "Little Bird", was a work that had been sung before, and the other two works that the director asked to sing during the interview were temporarily adapted in Beijing. ”
After several days of rehearsal, stage walking, exchange, rehearsal, on December 11, the program began to be officially recorded, "we recorded it again, and successfully challenged, successfully passed the customs, and after the end of the program, it was highly praised by the director team." He graduated from the Department of Music Education of Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2005. He is currently a member of the China Choral Association, a director of the Guangdong Choral Association, the second tenor of the "Son of the Sun" male vocal heavy singing group, and the permanent conductor of the Dongguan Middle School Alumni Choir. He used to be a music teacher in Dongguan Middle School, and is now the deputy chief of the art department of Dongguan Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau.
In 2007, 2008 and 2009, he won the first prize of the Fifth National Primary and Secondary School Music Live Class Competition, the Music Teachers' Basic Skills Competition, and the Music Teachers' Excellent Thesis Competition for three consecutive years (he was the first "triple champion" winner of the national primary and secondary school music teachers); he won 7 national awards, 13 provincial awards, and dozens of municipal awards.
Chen Quanzhang
He graduated from the Music Department of Qinghai Normal University in 2000 and is now working as a music teacher in the middle school of Dongguan Middle School. He has guided various choirs to participate in provincial and municipal competitions and won the "Gold Award" and "Excellent Conductor Award". The lessons he has taught have won the provincial and municipal excellent lessons many times; the tutoring students have won the "Excellent Guidance Teacher" many times in various provincial and municipal competitions, and have been rated as "Excellent Conductor", "Excellent Communist Party Member" and "Advanced Teacher" for many times.
Chen Guoke
He graduated from the Department of Music Education and the Department of Vocal Music of Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2004, and is now working as a music teacher at Dongguan Experimental Middle School. He is the first tenor of the Sons of the Sun Male Vocal Heavy Singing Group, the conductor of the Children's Choir of the Magnolia Grand Theatre, and the vice chairman of the Wancheng Musicians Association. Li Yaojiang
He graduated from the Vocal Music Department of Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2008 and studied in the Central Music Vocal Music Class in 2016. He is currently a vocal teacher at Dongguan No. 5 Senior High School, a member of the Guangdong Pop Musicians Association, a bass member of the "Son of the Sun" male vocal heavy singing group, and the president of the Gaobu Branch of dongguan musicians association.
