Jiang Yuyan, who is less than 17 years old, from Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, lost her right arm and right leg in a car accident when she was 4 years old. In 2018, at the age of 14, she came to prominence and won three gold medals at the Asian Para Games in Jakarta.

On the road cycling track, Guangdong's Chen Jianxin also won his second gold medal at the Paralympic Games. Chen Jianxin, 35, has suffered from cerebral palsy since childhood. His sports disability level, T1, is the most severely disabled level.

In the shooting arena, the 35-year-old "one-handed sharpshooter" Huang Xing defended his title with a record-breaking performance in the final of the 25-meter mixed sports pistol at the P3-SH1 level, which was also the third shooting gold medal won by the Chinese team at the Paralympic Games.

In the wheelchair women's basketball semifinals, the Chinese team faced the defending champion Team Usa.
