"Recently, I have eaten more meat and less vegetables, and the price of this dish is almost more expensive than the price of meat!" The old lady who lives in huayuan Road Street in Haidian District sighed. Recently, the public who often buy vegetables will feel that the price of vegetables is obviously more expensive than some time ago.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "200 Index of Wholesale Prices of Agricultural Products" has risen for many consecutive days, of which the top increases are mostly vegetables, and fish prices have declined slightly.
Recently, the price of vegetables in many parts of the country has risen sharply, and even the phenomenon of "vegetables are more expensive than meat" has emerged. According to CCTV Finance, in the vegetable market in Yueqing, Zhejiang, the price of common vegetables such as Dutch beans and okra is more than 20 yuan per kilogram. In contrast, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs", the "National Agricultural Products Wholesale Market Price Information System" monitoring, from October 15 to October 22, the price of pork was 19.73 yuan / kg, up 10.2% month-on-month, but still down 54.7% year-on-year.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in October (to the 18th), the national average wholesale price of 28 kinds of vegetables monitored by the key monitoring was 4.87 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 8.7% from the end of September and an increase of 16.8% from the average price of the same period in the past three years. Among them, the average prices of cucumbers, zucchini, white radish and spinach increased by 65.5%, 36.3%, 30.7% and 26.5% respectively from the previous month, and relatively speaking, the price of vegetables that are resistant to storage and transportation remained stable. From the 18th to the 22nd, the price of various vegetables also rose by a certain extent.
Zhang Jing, chief analyst of the vegetable market analysis and early warning team of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said in an interview with the Economic Daily that the recent abnormal jump in vegetable prices is mainly affected by rainfall and low temperatures. This autumn rainfall is significantly more than usual, especially after late September, the north has received large-scale continuous rainfall, and the cooling is rapid. Affected by large-scale and long-term continuous rainfall, vegetable fields have been flooded in many northern vegetable producing areas such as Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Hebei, Shanxi, shaanxi and other northern vegetable producing areas, making it difficult to harvest vegetables and significantly increasing the cost of acquisition. Since October, the number of fresh and tender vegetables on the market has dropped significantly, the average price of some varieties has risen sharply in October, and the overall price of vegetables has also jumped.
In Beijing, in order to increase the supply of vegetables in the Beijing market and stabilize vegetable prices, Xinfadi organized 3 million mu of self-owned planting bases and merchants across the country to expand the allocation of vegetables into Beijing and develop new sources of goods. For example, the production of broccoli in Hebei region has dropped sharply after being soaked by rainwater, and Xinfadi merchants have found a source of goods from Yinchuan, Ningxia to transport broccoli to Beijing, with more than 10 containers per day, which has stabilized the price of broccoli to a certain extent. In addition, the market has actively coordinated, and the prices of storage-resistant vegetables such as onions, potatoes, winter melons, tomatoes, fungi, and ginger and garlic have remained basically stable.
It is reported that the current growth state of the southern vegetable planting base is good, it is expected that after entering November, the southern vegetables will be listed in batches to enter the Beijing market, and the tight supply of vegetables will gradually be alleviated, and the price will tend to be stable.
