The Vienna New Year's Concert 2022 is still eye-catching, the concert as a whole presents a joyful and restrained, relaxed color, with music to release the world of expression, subtle and mysterious, full of artistic wisdom and power.
In particular, I would like to say that the most important repertoire of this year is: Joseph. Strauss's Celestial Music Round Dance, it must be the most beautiful part of this musical feast. Barenboim said waltz music also has a brisk role and he can have a lot of faces, which is something very special about the Strauss family. The music is light, but not superficial.
I watched the concert live. After that, I watched it in its entirety several times. Just no shortage of time.
Because of the epidemic, I have not rushed to the scene of the Golden Hall for three consecutive years to attend this grand event. On the afternoon of the 1st, I did chores a few hours in advance, ready to enjoy this concert quietly, without coughing, without answering the phone, as if on the spot, happy inside, and enjoying the first day of the new year.
Unlike the scene, you can smoke when watching the live broadcast, you can drink red wine from Frankfurt, the label reads impressively, Mozart in red wine, I like this wine, maybe that year the weather was good, the blue sky and white clouds were left in the wine. Jewish pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim will celebrate his 80th birthday this year. The concert gradually showcased mythical images such as firebirds, krakens and 14th fairies, with a special look at the news media's music – Hermesberg's "Little Advertiser" furious gallop, about the popular "Morning Post" and Little John's brother Edward's Polka "Chronicles". In these two special years, journalists can be seen everywhere, so that we can see the world without leaving home. With this song, I once again pay tribute to my media friends.
Barenboim's selection of songs, the careful arrangement of the order, is also reflected in his selection of works from the entire series of works of the Strauss dynasty that have never been performed in a New Year's concert, as well as some works of his contemporaries, such as the slow "Kraken Polka", which is hardly a real polka dance, except for the familiar and warm style, the band under the baton of Barenboim, and even performed the necessary mystery. Carl Michael Ziller's "The Night Revelers" gives us the privilege of seeing the ladies and gentlemen of the band, singing drunkenly and whistling at the same time, which is intoxicating.

The graceful dance of the Vienna State Ballet is always expected throughout the year, and this is one of the highlights of the concert.
This year's dance was not presented to the audience through ballet music, but through the waltz of One Thousand and One Nights, which shows the dance director's skillful handling of tradition and innovation. Dressed in robes, the dancers' elegant posture, improvisation, free and modern body language, beauty is incomprehensible. I especially liked the dancer in the green robe, she was like a goddess who came out of the story of one thousand and one nights, and I did not hesitate to take a picture of her back.

The most important piece of the concert, "Celestial Music and Sound Round Dance", is the fourth highlight of this concert.
