It is rare because of the size and weight of the honeycomb, not to mention the people in the city have not seen it, and probably the mountain residents have not seen it. According to Hong Feng, this honeycomb is the red lady big black beehive, divided into four layers, the maximum diameter is 2.4 meters, and the net weight is 196 pounds.
Giant honeycombs
Hong Feng said that this honeycomb is their cooperation with the mountain masses, artificial breeding in the deep mountain old forest, the first placed in the hive four red lady black queen bee, unfortunately died one, three queen bees crazy breeding offspring, about 34 days after breeding more than 10,000 adult worker bees.
"Worker bees are responsible for finding food and building nests, and the queen continues to lay eggs." Hong Feng told Red Star News that in about three months, this huge hive has been filled with bees pupae and thousands of adult worker bees that have not yet become bees, and by the harvest season, beekeepers will harvest all the worker bees and pupae.
Flood peaks and giant honeycombs
It is understood that for beekeepers, bee pupae and worker bees are treasures and have extremely high economic value. The market price of bee pupae is as high as 400 yuan / kg this year, and the adult worker bee is 2 yuan / piece. "A two-hundred-pound honeycomb, the total output value should be about 50,000 yuan." Hong Feng said.
It is understood that the Hongfeng brothers began to study the wild breeding of wasps in 2012, cooperating with farmers in mountainous areas. Yibin Wasp Breeding Professional Cooperative provides technology, queen bee, hive, etc., farmers provide venues, and after three months of harvesting, the two sides distribute the proceeds in a 6:4 ratio.
