Xiong Qixiong, a native of Meixian County, Guangdong Province. He is currently a member of the China Artists Association, a scholar of Chinese Silk Road art, a scholar of ancient Chinese village studies, a representative of the Lingnan School of Painting, an advisor of Guangdong Province, an art consultant of Guangdong Provincial Hakka Hundred Divisions Public Welfare Service Group (Hakka Hundred Divisions Think Tank), and a visiting professor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. In 1958, he was admitted to the Affiliated High School of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1966, where he studied under Mr. Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai and Yang Zhiguang. He also accepted the teachings and edification of Grandpa Yan Chengzuo, a flower merchant at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and a master of traditional Chinese studies, Shang Chengzuo. From 1968 to 1992, he worked in Xinjiang and served as a member of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Literary Association, an honorary chairman of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Artists Association, a vice chairman of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Artists Association, a chairman of the Shihezi Artists Association, and the director of the Fine Arts Department of Jiaying University.
