Xing Bo: I have always advocated the creative concept of genre films, determined to create and explore genre films, being an excellent creator of genre films has always been what I pursue, I advocate the integration of artistry and commerciality of films, the integration of multi-genre elements of films and the integration of commerciality, I personally feel that excellent filmmakers should pursue the highest level, both business and art. 4, you have cooperated with a lot of stars, but also have been digging for good newcomer actors, what do you think are the standards for good actors?

Xing Bo: In my opinion, a good actor must be a typical character with a distinct personality, natural and real. I personally think that actors don't have to be particularly delicate and handsome, but they must have understanding and charm. Years of experience have made me realize that the combination of "experiential performance" and "expressionist performance" is the best performance, and both experience and performance are the best performance state. The actor must convey the thoughts, psychology, emotions, personality, and everything of the characters he experiences to the audience through performance, action, and line language. If the character relationship and contradictions and conflicts are established, the narrative idea of the entire script will be very clear, so that the main story line is wonderful and compact. 6, ten years ago, you were once known as the gold medal director of Chinese suspense thriller films, and now you are more involved in the creation of such films as a producer, how do you think of thrillers?

Xing Bo: Yes, at the beginning of my career, I started my filmmaking career through suspense thriller genre films, and through shooting this type of film, I laid a solid foundation for my narrative control, light and shadow processing, and rhythm control.

In recent years, I have mainly been a producer for some directors in the production of the gate, I hope that my experience can help these young directors.

Overall, today's domestic thrillers are generally not good in script and production. I think that horror is scary or to take the psychological thriller route, and thriller movies should shift from intuitive horror and so on to people's psychological horror. To learn to set the thriller point very restrained, very deliberately to scare the audience, may have the opposite effect, I think psychological thriller combined with the disclosure of gray is the highest state of creating thrillers.

7. What is your favorite film director in the world at present?

Xing Bo: There is no doubt that this is Nolan! Nolan's penchant for non-linear storytelling is evident in his work Follow, which followed, and the subsequent Fragments of Memory was a great success. In 2010, "Inception", which swept the global box office, marked the peak of Nolan's trend of complex narrative, he brought exquisite narrative strategy to the blockbuster, so that all viewers indulged in his labyrinth of thinking and were willing to contribute to the box office. In the Dark Knight trilogy, he broke with the conventional perception of superheroes and opened up a new model for superhero movies. 8, Chinese films have made rapid progress in recent years, behind the prosperity, what problems do you think there are in Chinese films?

Xing Bo: The biggest problem is the scarcity of good scripts, and then there is a good script, the director is not good, and domestic cinema films are always not accurate emotional expression, which cannot cause the audience's emotional resonance! The trend of differentiation of Chinese films is taking shape, and at the same time, the shortcomings of our genre films are very obvious, and there is even no concept of genre films. There is also a relatively single Chinese film distribution and screening system, mainly based on cinema lines, the vast majority of cinemas in order to maximize economic benefits, most of the films they screen are large-scale production, big stars of commercial blockbusters, it is inevitable to produce homogenization problems. Most of the small and medium-sized costs are squeezed out in theaters, and some movies are made without the opportunity to meet the audience. Therefore, I think it is imperative to establish a differentiated and differentiated screening system.

9, It is understood that you will serve as the producer of many movies and TV series next?

Xing Bo: I have always felt that the competition in the film and television industry is actually a competition between producers. First of all, a good producer must have a keen literacy, take the latest film and television industry policy as the guide, and strive to create good works that tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese voices. There is also the need to be a producer with a keen judgment on the director's skill, quality and expertise, script potential, film quality and film prospects.
