According to Marc Stein, several teams are interested in getting Brunson and Finney Smith through trade.

But Stein revealed that the Mavericks were reluctant to trade the two players because they played so well.

So far this season, Brunson has averaged 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, shooting 50.2 percent, and Finney Smith averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 44.6 percent. They will both become full free agents this summer.
